I've been splitting Little Ceasar's with a friend every weekend because we're too poor for anything else and I agree that it's pretty good for what you pay for.

rec sports league update:

kickball team is off to a blazing 3-0 start, the best in franchise history. We beat these fools like 13-1 today. Kind of surprising because we've always been average at best.

Spring league hockey team is a meh 2-3.

Slurpee, I saw you're doing flag football? Not sure what sort of organization you're going through, but ours was through the city at a city park...are there people in your league who take it wayyy too seriously? definitely were a few at ours

I had to skip softball yesterday due to illness and my team apparently lost 12-0 to make us 0-4. Now there's a real chance that that only happened because we forfeit again as we were charged a 10-0 loss when we forfeit the first game even though in the unofficial game we played that day we won like 9-3. I wouldn't put it past us to lose 12-0 though, we're insanely bad

I had Little Caesar's one time, it was in '87 or '88, I don't remember how it compared to other places but it probably has changed recipes since then.

I wouldn't mind getting in a sports league. I miss playing sports.

I was a little reluctant to do kickball when we started, but it's fun, super casual, easy to play, and you don't need any gear or previous experience.

On the subject of the Winnipeg Jets, the Atlanta Thrashers logo was amazing, right? I still think it looks cool.

Different people like different things of course, but I've never liked the Thrashers logo. What is it even supposed to be? a bird tornado holding a hockey stick? what even is a Thrasher?

That being said, the Winnipeg Jets logo might be the coolest in all of sports, in my humble opinion (excluding the Vikings one because of bias)

Holy shit, Robinson Cano got an 80-game PED suspension. It was one of those masking agent ones so you don't really know for sure what he was actually doing, but I guess legit or not he should have known it was a banned substance. That must be hard to keep track of though. I think there's probably some OTC stuff they can't even use

My favorite part of whenever a guy gets caught is the bullshit moralizing from guys like Justin Verlander or whoever (I saw he had an obnoxious tweet) as if they've NEVER done ANYTHING that wasn't 100% above board, not to mention their friends and teammates. It's just the most irritating cycle every time, especially because 90% of fans don't even care at this point.

Verlander also 100% uses pine tar which is technically illegal. I don't have evidence for this but they all do it

Phil Humber is the best bad pitcher to throw a perfecto in recent memory. Even Dallas Braden was better. Lyles and Humber are p comparable I think

Armando Galarraga would have been in that tier as well.

In Humber's defense, back when he threw his perfect game we weren't sure that he was bad yet. Looking it up, he was actually coming off a really solid year and threw it that following April. After that game he maybe never had another good start for the rest of his life, but Lyles has been confirmed trash for years.

I don't know if Blackmon or LeMahieu are hurt or what but they aren't in the lineup. You still shouldn't get no-hit regardless, but they have three guys in the lineup today hitting below .150. Yikes
