2 more of my friends finally got Divinity: Original Sin 2 and we've been doing a 4 person playthrough. This game is so good. It has the best turn based style combat I've ever seen, and the exploration, interacting with NPCs, and different combat abilities has as much variety as Skyrim.

Not to mention the Game Master mode, which I haven't touched yet. It's where you can make your own campaign and you can play campaigns/mods created by other players.

Divinity 2 looks awesome but it also looks extremely intimidating. I've still barely touched the first one which is also extremely intimidating but only like 60% as much

I'm going to a Giants vs Rockies game on Sunday. Should be fun since it's with a few friends are just getting into baseball and haven't been to a game since they were little kids. It probably won't be fun since the Rockies are going to destroy whatever AAA pitcher the Giants throw out there that day.

I didn't get the Mia Khalifa joke because I don't burden my mind or body with smut.

The truth is I actually didn't know she was a "famous" Caps fan so I didn't get it. I thought it was like a Kardashian joke or something.

Speaking of D.C. trash, lol Tom Wilson. The guy who concussed two players in two consecutive games with two dirty hits is now appealing to the league about player safety. If he wants a safer league, maybe he should just retire, since guys like him and Marchand are the problem.

Mario Tennis on GBC is probably in my like top 10 most played games but the GBA one is better and baseball is the best one, not just because baseball is the best sport but because it used RBI Baseball mechanics

This game was so good, especially for an old handheld game.

I've heard that the Mario Golf handheld games were just as good but I've never played them. I like the RPG stuff they used to do on handhelds because people never really played multiplayer on Game Boy games.

The Rockies offense is bad though. They're the bizarro Rockies where the pitching is the relative strength (though I wouldn't call the pitching good either). Also they've won more on the road than at Coors this year

The golf games were my favorite Mario Sports ones. I never played Mario Superstar Baseball but I wanted to. I had played the other games either while working at Gamestop or renting them.

Interesting poll today. I have google play music instead of Spotify for some reason and now I can't change because I have too much stuff saved. More importantly though I want to meet the 229 people who pay for Pandora premium

I have Spotify but I don't pay for it. I don't really know what any of the others are like, except Pandora, cause I used to use that but it sucks

I mostly listen to podcasts but the music I have is the crappy Amazon music thing that comes with Prime. The selection is terrible but it's at least ad free.

I pay for Spotify family, I use Pandora sometimes to find new music (for some reason I have had little success with Spotify recommendations. I use Amazon music thing only bc it is free and we have a couple of Amazon Echo's in the house.

If the guys from the twins subreddit are to be believed, lance Lynn, Fernando Rodney, and Logan Morrison are not only the three worst signings of all time, but also the 3 worst players of all time

I didn't want the Cards to re-sign Lynn because I felt like his luck was about to run out but I didn't think he'd be this bad. Mikolas has been more awesome than I'd dared hope for us so far too but I will admit that I wanted the Cards to get Alex Cobb who has been just as bad as Lynn for like 4x the price.

It's supposedly gonna be set in Kanto and the different versions of it decide if your starter is Pikachu or Eevee. Aside from that being a no contest win for Eevee, that's all mostly fine by me. The problem is the leaked screenshot looks like upscaled Sun/Moon assets. So they basically ported a 3DS game to Switch with a fixed camera and all that nonsense. So basically it's so wack that I'll still buy it and just be annoyed about it.

I won't be too quick to jump to conclusions but that sounds disappointing. I guess we'll get there when we get there.

Today I went out for lunch while the cards@twins game was going on, and I saw a ton of people walking around in cardinals gear, including a grown man who brought a baseball glove. Grow up peter pan!

(I'm just kidding. it's perfectly fine for anyone of any age to bring a glove to a game)

Also when an adult man in the crowd gets a foul ball or a homer and there's a little kid next to him (who isn't his kid) and the guy just keeps the ball. give it to the kid dude! Surely the experience of catching a ball at a baseball game is better than just having the ball in a drawer somewhere

I used to think I would keep a ball if I ever got one but now I have accepted that I never will and that if I do I will have no use for it so I might as well give it to a kid. However, I might keep a homer depending on the context. Obviously milestone balls you keep and trade for goods and services, but also if it's just like one of the GOATs hit it I would have trouble giving it up.

It's a nice notion that if I ever caught a historical ball (I never will), I'd give it to the player or a museum or hall of fame or whatever, but I actually could use the money, so...........................................

There's no way I'm giving a ball to a random kid. I've been a sports fan my whole life and I always wanted to get a ball, so when that time finally comes I'm supposed to give it up? Nah. I would appreciate the souvenir as much, if not more, than that kid. If I caught more after that, my outlook might change. I just want one.

I had a dream the other night that I caught an important ball from Hunter Pence, and he was stressing out over what he'd have to give up, but I just said he could give me his PSN and we'd play a few rounds of Marvel vs Capcom or whatever. In my dream he was cool with it, but in real life I imagine he'd be like "Can I just give you a bat or something?"

I think I would keep the ball too. Unless there was a really cute/excited kid in my section because sometimes I notice them and think damn it I'm gonna catch a ball and have to give it to her.

I just had a thought... isn't OPS kind of redundant? OBP and SLG are both basically just variations on BA, so it's like adding the same thing twice. That's pretty wack even for traditional stats. Then again it doesn't really matter, the only meaning any particular stat has is how it compares across players

OPS is very out of style but it looks nice on the stats page and I don't mind seeing it on a broadcast. An .820 OPS could come around a lot of different ways but it does mean that the guy is having a good year, and it's hard to have a .900 OPS without being awesome
