Oh yeah another thing from Jojo part 4 is bugging me. Just want a yes or no answer. do they ever explain Josuke seemingly saving his baby self? Like in the flashback it looked like his current self somehow went back in time and saved his baby self who had the bad fever for 50 days or whatever. Does that ever get explained?

Long answer It's just one of those things. It was just some guy going through some shit who decided to help out because he was a good person. A lot of people like to look into it and make crazy theories. But I like it just being some dude. Not everything needs to be a big important thing. The similar appearance is just due to Josuke copying the hair, and Araki drawing a lot characters similar.

I can't answer that with a yes or no.

By technicality I have to say no?

That wasn't Josuke. Just some dude with the same hair.

Though honestly it was probably originally supposed to be Josuke and Araki just changed his mind hard on the ending.

I never said I don't like Rei. He has plenty of great scenes. The Kawamotos are generally better written and more interesting than he is though, and they don't have shitty shogi scenes dragging them down.

Our boy Brokuyasu got it bad because his Stand is really, really strong. So to balance it, Brokuyasu isn't the brightest and doesn't get to do much with it.

The battle between the Empire and Alliance is much closer than it should be, however just like the last ep, the top dogs are sitting back and letting their subordinates call the shots. Reinhart and Ruental are not showing any signs of worry. For a good number of episodes, it felt like the Kaiser had more competent talents and him being able to let them have more power to enact their plans was one of the reasons they eventually won. But here we kinda see over the last few eps that without a government holding them back, Yang's allies might be better, they've been accomplishing much with lesser resources.

I watched the movie Expelled from Paradise today because apparently it's being taken off of Netflix tomorrow. I thought it was okay, it had a lot of cool sci-fi ideas and some neat mecha combat. The CGI was also pretty good. Still, some plot elements felt rushed and the characters didn't have a lot of time to grow. I suppose that's an inevitable downside to movies due to the shorter runtime, which is why I prefer series. I'm glad I watched it while it was still available, though!

I've been sort of following this and evidently the people who own the MAL domain/website/whatever are doing some maintenance because of a security flaw, but they aren't communicating with the admins of MAL itself at all, so the MAL people don't actually know what's going on either and are quite unhappy with the situation.

I'm not sure what the flaw is, but it's probably got something to do with credit card numbers since they opened their store. And since MAL also stores people's birthdays... well that's too bad lmao.

I dont even know when I last logged into MAL. I dont really use any site for keeping track of anime right now. I use anichart to see whats coming out soon, but thats about it

Damn other than like S3 of MHA which Im waiting on to finish I think Im almost out of shounen stuff to check out. I could see S2 of Blue Exorcist, but I dont remember S1 too well. I could also go back to Fairy Tail I guess if I can remember the last episode I saw. Im sure Ill find something to watch soon enough. Guess I should go back and check charts from previous seasons

It is so insane to me that the excellence that was Titan S2 was dumped out to little applause while the dumpster fire that is Titan S3 is getting an enormous marketing push and theatrical premiers.

Maybe it's just a reaction to the huge drop off S2 had and they're trying to recover, having assumed they didn't need to do anything to promote Titan the second time around.

The drop was so big because of how long it took to get S2. It was like 4-5 years wasnt it? Most anime would probably have a huge drop in that time.

Yea it was 4 years, they really screwed themselves and the potential they had with that. Probably looking over at MHA like "damn that could have been us if we kept up"

the first season covered something like 35 chapters when only around 50 were out

Yeah, Im not blaming the studio or anything. There was nothing they could really do with the manga being released the way it is. Titan was a very in the moment thing when it debuted and then it just took forever for enough material to be out to make another season since its monthly or whatever instead of weekly. Even some of the biggest series out there would take a hit from so long without anything. Take Haruhi for example. Its been so long since there was any anime of it that it might not be a big deal if it came back. Its been like 8 years since the movie and it may just never come back at all

I recently caught up on Titan during my manga spree and decided not to talk about it here anymore, because rather than being just bad it might also be, uh....problematic.

It's not as obvious as it was with Yaginuma, so I'm withholding judgement for the time being unless something more obvious happens, but I'd rather not inject the anime topic with POLITICS.

Pierrot is the worst one honestly. Toei may have lower lows and Lerche may be boring, but Pierrot has talent it just doesn't use which is a significantly worse crime.
