I think I'm gonna jump back in here for a bit since I've picked the game up again. I spent several months not doing anything other than free pulls, occasional dailies, spamming tickets when I got them, and just in general using it to get my fix for pulling a gacha without doing anything else. It helps that I already had two CG units before this event, Lassworm and Lid so I actually had a good bonus team going. Now that the event is winding down, I'm ending it with an additional Lid for 7* goodness and BSS, which is just making me even more hungry for magic TMRs.

I've also been spamming story events for lapis, and I'm still working my way through Gungan stuff, so I imagine I've still got the ability to get a halfway decent cache of supplies. Not sure if I want to chase anymore CG units or not, because while I'd love a Nichol, Fina, and 7* BSS, I probably don't need them. And the chance of getting a useless Jake is just too damn high.

At some point I need to give Bloody Moon another shot, and I need to get my 3* Espers. I've got Ifrit, but that's it, and I don't know which others are actually worth the effort.

Even at lv 1 they are better than 2*/40. Plus innate status immunities. (Siren offers sleep.)

Chasing Jake is stupid. If you get 2 at some point, good. He hits decently hard. 4? Stuff melts with his souped up LB.

considering the amount of Cloud i have, TDH is a thing i can do on a lot of characters. Cloud and Olive for sure. Tidus i'm still unsure because i'm not sure whether FD TDH is his best at 7* or something else with Brotherhood. Dark Veritas i'm uncertain on because he gets both boosts to TDH and boosts to TDW. i think CG Laswell is a TDW character at 7* so i'm not worried there. and i haven't checked on Raegan.

in terms of mages, Ace is the one i'm looking forward to the most, though his TMR is honestly kind of weak. fortunately his STMR is fucking great on him and i'm just one Ace away from getting that. at least that means i don't need to force a second TMR somehow before fusing, i'm busy enough with Clouds as is.

7* Rem, if she's like Japan's release, is godly at that. Curaja, 3 turns of an AOE auto-revive + 100% defenses + 20% damage mitigation on a 5-turn cooldown (available from turn 1), AOE MP healing, 50% physical counter to curaga + status effects. that's not including her ability to use Tornado or Quake. there's probably some differences there for us due to Dagger Boomerang but i don't think they'll tone down her healing.

Ayaka went from top healer to God-mode healer. Equipping her own TMR grants her own Trust Ability which not only provides a 2,000 HP Barrier, but also upgrades her LB to recover 100% HP+MP for everyone! Her 7 kit revolves around mainly 3 CD skills, all of which provide HP Barriers. HP Barrier is basically an additional bar of HP (blue colored) that masks over your actual HP (green colored) meaning any damage taken will be to the barrier instead of your real HP. 3,000 HP barrier essentially means you can tank an additional 3k damage BEFORE your actual HP gets hit. Her maxed level passive also enables her to ignore up to 3 Fatal Attacks at 80% chance. No longer will you have to fear those nasty pre-emptive ST death! And finally, her STMR, I mean what can I say? 166 SPR +15%HP/MP. Thats insane.

LM Finas 7 LB gets upgraded from 9.4x mod to 10.4 mod and its light/dark imperil increases to 65%.

Her Trust Ability provides her with more STATs increment along with additional 30% light resist and lets her generate 1 LS per turn.

Her passive, Two Fina(s) basically increases your light/dark resistance depending on your equipment which is good because her 6 skill, Divine Veil, already boosts an all-elemental resistance by 45%, making her tankier against light/dark elements.

Blossom Hearts is her first CD ability which is pretty self-explanatory. It re-raises herself for 3 turns (80% HP upon revival), and revives everyone with 100% HP. Its cooldown is relatively short too, making it useful when things start going south.

Light of Eternity is her second CD skill which is an AoE Re-raise and comes with a major heal as bonus. If her LB isnt up, this is your next go-to skill if you need to prep for nasty thresholds during boss fights.

Her maxed 7 passive Cleansing Prayer improves her damage on Sacred Burst and Arch Finisher which is nice and lets her counter magical attacks with a flat AoE 20MP recovery and fills everyones LB with 1 LS.

Her STMR materia is a upgraded version of Pure White Blessing. It auto buffs your unit by 80% STATS and recovers HP and a large 12% MP while generating LS at the same time. Great on herself and anyone who needs constant MP regen to maintain their damage output without the hassle of running low on MP.

Overall, her main strength is in AoE re-raise so you wouldnt have to worry about individual re-raise rotations. Plus she has offensive capabilities unlike other traditional healers and provides elemental resistances as the same time which is still pretty solid imo.

Took a couple tries, but Ramuh 3* is mine. My WoL isn't up to 100% evasion, but the 75% he is at seems good enough. I have absolutely no evasion materia because I skipped so many events, so I crammed another dozen or so moogles down a second Noctis' throat to get me a second Ring, which I'm sure will come in handy plenty of places. I know I can easily handle Siren 3*, I'm just too lazy to do it right now, and I think I should be able to take down Siren and Golem possibly. Not sure how to handle Carbunkle yet.

I feel like I'm both catching up and so far behind it's not worth bothering. It's not helped that my friend list is so threadbare after taking a break, and everyone is still spamming bonus units. I miss the days of GLSakura being so easy to find. Maybe next week will improve that situation.

You know, thinking about it, I think I actually had better rainbow rates before the rate-up. Maybe some of that is bias, since before then any rainbow was something great, while lately they've just been another mediocre damage dealer that I don't need, but it sure feels like my pull rate has dropped off significantly.

Would anyone be willing to put up a 100% Evade VoE for Golem? I can't rely on the 70% I can personally get to, and will be trying to make some evasion TMRs in the future for myself. If I can get Golem, then I just need Shiva and Carbuncle and I'm caught up on 3* Espers for the time being.

Also, I didn't realize just how significant a difference potting units really made. I had an unpotted Barbariccia sitting at 852 Mag, and after maxing her out she shot up to 992. That's one hell of a climb, and I will not underestimate those from now on.

EDIT: Updated on Rainbows, and I apparently got a lot more than I thought. I guess that since I still logged in to pull I got quite a few I had forgotten about.
