It could be that his last begging video really reached people. I know he also got a $300 donation, and someone paid for about $65 worth of DLC for Street Fighter 5 for him. But he's been hinting at needing a PS4 Pro and a new TV for the longest time, so it seems a little suspicious that they were both donated to him within a couple days of each other.

What's the point when he already jerked off live on camera for free?

Even after all these donations, he gets on his stream and starts complaining about how YouTube engagement is down, stream interaction was low the night before (ie: people weren't giving him money), he's wondering how he's going to pay his bills, etc, etc. There's no sense of appreciation for all that people have given him lately; he only wants more money.

That's something that bothers me about him. It's not that he's asking for money to support his little hobby of playing video games for a living, because other streamers do that and it's not overly offensive. But he's asking for people to pay for him to live a lifestyle far more lavish than the average person lives. He puts little effort into improving his streams or upgrading his equipment--most of the money is apparently going to pay his taxes or pay off his debt--and he fully expects people to continue to support him as he limps on doing something that is no longer financially viable.

Eh I am inclined to believe them.

DSP said he got both (though he was only begging for a PS4Pro) from an anonymous infrequent watcher of his streams.

He could have just shut the fuck about it, since there won't be an upgrade in stream quality unless he gets a 4k caprure card, but his fragile little ego won't prevent him from shutting up.

Also, taxes are due in September, so expect an emergency stream again soon.

I know the whole "bugged memory mechanics" thing is practically a meme at this point, but he really does seem to retain almost nothing from his previous playthroughs. And it's made worse by his over-reliance on his stream chat these days. Instead of even trying to do anything, he'll whine that he doesn't remember how to play the game until people tell him. And if his stream chat doesn't tell him right away, he gets mad at them, as if it's up to the people watching to play the game for him.

His old videos are almost like watching a completely different person. His humor was never something that everyone was going to like, but at least the old DSP came across as a person who was having fun and had some appreciation for what he was doing. Current DSP hates playing games and even seems to strongly dislike the people who support him.

Only his most diehard fans will claim they enjoy his prestreams. To be fair, he has shortened them slightly as of late, but there's still no reason to have the first hour to hour and a half of his streams involve no gameplay. And a large chunk of what he says is the same every day--he might as well be reading from a script. The only good stuff is him going on rants in response to questions that were obviously meant to bait him.

What I liked about Phil were some of game reviews or when he reacts to controversy like the finebros react world.
