I'm all for Lugi losing to like, Samus Aran but Tifa is a one off dead hacked bimbo from an overrated game. Luigi is still thriving with many games and his own series. So fuck Tifa.

Draven/Undertale WON THE CONTEST with their rallies.

So if Tifa loses AT ANY POINT, you have to admit that you were wrong and there was a very big key difference.

If Link needed significant SFF to pull that off, Samus was a monster that year.

I suspect relative SFF levels actually change quite a bit over time. I dont think Link will get 88% or whatever on Ganon again, for instance (could be wrong).
