here's another realization i had about endgame.

in spiderman, when Peter visits the new Avengers HQ, you see that the building is clearly populated with a ton of employees walking about busily.

all of them were snapped back into existence

and then immediately blown up by thanos?

For what its worth I got the impression Black Widow was just running HQ herself and everyone had been let go years ago, so it was probably just them in there.

I think people are just not 100% believing that they'll bring it in so soon after Endgame. It's not even technically Phase 4 yet.

They did say that Endgame would divide the MCU into two distinct "eras". Maybe the big factor differing the two would be the Multiverse.

What MCU movies are we expecting next year? Black Widow, Black Panther 2, and Doctor Strange 2?

theoretically yeah those would make sense...Guardians 3 may have originally been next year, but obviously that's pushed back now

but how early next year could we reasonably get another movie? As far as I know nothing has started filming yet. Have they been secretly making BP2 somehow?

the other two possibilities we know about are Shang Chi and The Eternals. Maybe one of those will show up next year so it's not all movies with pre-established characters.

the best part about this is that Mysterio is the best character to introduce this possibility, because there is an equal chance of it being true and just part of a larger Mysterio plan, or Mysterio could be full of it.

This is true. Seems like the only active Avengers at the time were Tony, Rhodey, and Vision, and with that low a roster maybe they didn't need staff.

Vision wasn't active either, he was off the grid for two years with Wanda.

At the time of Infinity War he was with Wanda, but before that Vision initially sided with Tony and in Homecoming Tony mentions to Peter something about having to bunk with Vision who isn't good with doors at the end when he was going to let him join the Avengers. I'm not sure it's clear how long he was gone or if he was even permanently gone, like every so often he'd just show back up and be like "Hey guys I totally wasn't bunking up with a fugitive what have you been up to?"

Back to the original point though, there were probably far more people at Avengers HQ at the end of Homecoming than normal because there was about to be a big press conference. It didn't seem like many if any "civilians" hung out with them at any of the HQs at any other point before or after that in AoU, Civil War, or Infinity War.

I just hope if they do the Multiverse that they don't bring back the dead characters. I know that technically aren't the same characters but having them back isn't right. I mean we already have the dead characters coming back because they are from a different timeline, but having alternate realities characters too? No.

I always liked this characterization because Cap always wanted a team and keeping the hammer down prevented him from elevating himself above the rest.

The payoff from that little scene was fantastic.

Just kinda thought about something. While I did enjoy Stark calling Thor Lebowski does that mean in their universe that Jeff Bridges exists as an actor and he just looks exactly like Obadiah from Iron Man 1?

There's other instances of this too. Cap's list in Winter Soldier has Star Wars on it so he'd be weirded out when he sees Mace, and EG references Hot Tub Time Machine which Sebastian Stan is in.

I think it's more of a Last Action Hero situation where Arnold sees a poster for Terminator 2 and it has Stallone in that universe

I mean the Star Trek reference alone checks off Zoe Saldana, Hemsworth, Cumberbatch, Karl Urban, and Idris Elba

Sorry if this has been brought up already, but I had a question about the time traveling.

So, since you can't go back in time in your own timeline (Timeline A) when the Avengers go back in time to get the Infinity Stones, it is to an alternate Timeline (Timeline B.) Hulk promises that they'll return the stones to said timeline when they are finished with them, but how? Wouldn't going back in time from Timeline A again create a different alternate timeline each time? I was always under the impression that that is how such things work. Am I wrong?
