Can't curve on them, (Zubat/Yanma) but just throw the ball to the top of the screen and you hit 'em as long as they don't move. Scyther too.

Depends on if you're willing to invest the candy and stardust. I generally don't. I try to get one with higher level and good stats from the get go

The diff between a 100 lvl15 and a 85 level 30 is actually a lot of investment. It's like 100k dust and ~80 candies.

30-35 is another 75ishk dust. It's pretty bad.

Yeah. I've only attempted to catch 1 zubat in months and it was only because it was for research and was actually a ditto >_>

Yanma I stopped bothering with too because I have like 500-600 candy already and evolved one. Yanmega is actually quite good for a bug type.

Edit: I see a few people posted friend codes. Will add when I get a chance. I play most days, but not always on weekends or random week days if I take a day off or call out sick.

You can walk pokemon. You'll get 1 candy per 1-5km walked (1 per 20km for legendaries). You can also get rare candies from raids and in rare cases, research tasks (usually harder stuff like catch a dragon type or do 3 great throws in a row, stuff like that). I recommend saving rare candies for legendaries.

I very rarely play the game anymore, but I do remember one trick that I mastered.

Try doing curve balls. To do them, just move the ball in a clockwise or counter-clockwise motion a few cycles, then release at an angle. The ball will spin and curve back the opposite way you released (depending on which direction you threw). I mastered it so that I always hit the Pokemon, just not necessarily within the circle. You get bonus stardust for catching a Pokemon with a curve ball.

Bonus XP, not stardust. But more importantly, curves give a large boost to your catch chances - bigger than using a Razz berry or switching to a Great ball. Always always always throw curves, never look back.

Meh, I have like 3 of those and I haven't done anything with them. Only legendary I've put any investment into is my Rayquaza. I think it's up to ~3500 CP at this point. Still more powering up to do in the rare instances when I get rare candy

Legendaries were mundane and weak relatively speaking when they first became available, since people playing from the start already had much stronger stuff by then. So where you're at is like where I was when I made a 600 CP vaporeon and I was like "omg holy fuck that's a big number O_O"

Unless you set it to track your movement while closed.

It will generally stop tracking movement at 15-20 mph. So you can't hatch eggs by driving around town.

Caught my fourth or fifth Azelf today. Like, total across the whole month. Nobody wanted it after the first week because it isn't meta, is weaker than Mewtwo, and isn't shiny. Nor can we get the other forms outside of trading. 93%, 14/13/15 ADS IVs. Not bad, but not worth using any rare candies on. What I'm looking forward to is maybe getting a shiny cresselia, as well as the chance at another Kyogre since it's amazing.

Cherrim is a once evolved Pokemon so it always gives 5. As do things like combusken. Twice evolved things like Gengar or Dragonite always give 10. Ironically, I've only seen cherrim and not cherubi, the first form.

One time during a double candy event I found a wild crobat. Pinap, 40 candy.

Oh shit i didn't know cherrim even had an evolution. Found 2 separate forms in Go and was a bit confused (I only really know gens 1-3). That's cool though. They've seemed weird, like oddly hard to catch for CP range.

Babies don't count as an evolution stage, that's actually consistent with the rest of the series AFAIK.

They do count as evolution stages in the main games. Pokemon go created artificial labels to justify regionals and whatnot so *shrugs* at the very least, candy from egg hatches varies in amount by default.

Yeah they've been weird about it. I didn't know roselia had a baby form either until I randomly hatched one and I didn't even know what it was at first, I was just like "oh cool some new thing I don't have yet lol" and then when I looked at it later it said roselia candy.

The only pokemon I can distinctly identify and name from after gen 4 is Litten (and incineroar, can't remember middle form) and that's because I picked it in discords because I wanted to pick one I didn't know and it looked sassy >_>
