Oh man the absolute state of live Raw shows now.

So Sarah Schreiber's thing is that she comes out during commercials and does various things like trivia and interviews with kids. And one of them is that they say a nickname and the kid answers. Sarah says "The Best in the World" and the kid says CM Punk, not to start crap, but because that's what he thought when she said that. And Sarah froze and had no idea what to say in this game where there's a countdown.

And apparently now, on top of trying to not have wrestling during commercials, they now have the heels constantly talk shit to the crowds on commercials no less than 4 times during the event. Which, I'm not entirely opposed to, but my god. Can you imagine four times you have people coming out to tell you how much your city sucks? I might prefer the WWE propoganda videos!

Also, Seth Rollins, after Will Ospreay said that he's wrestled more dates this year than him, busted out the "Let's compare bank accounts" line. Seth pls.

Only just now heard about the twitter situation (watching Cultaholic). Regardless of who started it, it's a bad look for Rollins. WWE is in a "can't win" mode with Social Media, so the best thing Rollins could do was focus on his title reign and stay off Twitter.

I feel like this Seth stuff is a work or at the very least he's being used by WWE as a puppet, because it's not just that he's being a d-bag, it's the lack of logic and the sophistry in what he's saying. Such as how he made it about money - his WWE money - with Will Ospreay, when that was not at issue.

Maybe they aren't trying to bring back the AEW crowd. I think they're trying to double-down on WWE loyalists. If you're a casual WWE (not wrestling, WWE) fan, AEW are the heels in this situation. If you're super devoted to WWE, AEW are the heels in this situation. It's kind of Trump-esque? Focussing on firing up the WWE "base" rather than appealing to the competition.

And there is an argument that if WWE would actively want to alienate, or at least would make no attempt to keep, any part of its fanbase, it's the part that naturally gravitates towards AEW. I would wager there's a decent correlation between AEW fans and people who, say, boo/booed Roman Reigns.

I dunno I just think there might be more to this than suddenly "Seth Rollins is a whiny little prick and completely illogical and stupid."

I object to the idea that WWE is trying to alienate anyone at this juncture. Ratings are in the toilet, the crowd and PPV buys for Stomping Grounds were a joke, and they drew 3500 total fans to RAW last night.

They don't need to worry about rah-rahing the loyalists right now. They'll always be there. They can't afford to drive literally any more people away.

They did a long time ago, but you know that. It's a shitty idea when they do this alienating crap like Sami Zayn blaming fans who think WWE sucks right now for weeks on end too. Alienating literally anyone is just stupid, and they should be looking to gain people back.

But I don't think that's the case and I think Seth is just an idiot and an asshole.

In the SI interview he did, Seth said Moxley took his ball and went home which people have rightly pointed out is a Vince-ism that he uses against people who leave

If this is a company directive, I think they probably thought that Seth actually is so good in the ring as to be unassailable.
