Having not watched a great deal of Adult Swim, I have to ask how many of those are legit quotable, so much as just have one-liners? I've seen a little bit of ATHF, Venture Bros, and Metalocalypse and they don't strike me as things you quote lines from so much as just general pop culture. Then again, I feel the same way about Adventure Time, and I bet there are people who love to quote that, too.

I want to be surprised by these results, but if you look at the poll attached to the official discussion topic, almost everyone universally responded "Your next line is: Lord of the Rings upsets Jojo in the first round!"

As Kamek and Sheep put it, Jojo is probably the most consistent entrant in the contest. If you've seen Jojo, you quote it. You live it. You breathe it. If you haven't seen Jojo, you probably sound like this guy:

Our other match was decently close. Game of Thrones started in the lead, but once the Office fans showed up it managed to pull away slightly and was never really in danger. something something Winter is Coming.

After an entire day of overtime Castlevania finally overcomes Always Sunny after basically another tie for the entirety of the second day. It was a terrible night to have a curse for Always Sunny as Castlevania was finally able to pull away after a few stray votes placed after midnight.

Of course, this overtime was basically just to sort out who is going to get fed to the behemoth that is Forrest Gump in Round 2, but at least I can feel proud that I made a bracket where some of the matches end up pretty close, unlike these other three.

Forrest Gump tore Life is Strange to pieces like a hurricane hitting Arcadia Bay. Going in I knew Forrest Gump was underseeded and that Life is Strange would be a very weak entrant (I liken its three seed to Serious Sam's three seed in 2002) but seeing the Gumpheads turn out in force to overtake @Shonen_Bat's single LiS vote with 25 of their own was hella heartbreaking.

Day 5 would have been our most uneventful day yet if it weren't for the tiebreaker. We had MGS and South Park (expectantly) put Friends and DBZ out to pasture. The only thing worth talking about is the even amount of support both winners got and what the next match will look like.

I will say that DBZ is definitely a way stronger competitor than Friends and to see South Park win over DBZ by a larger margin than MGS over Friends is definitely worrisome for all you Snake fans out there.

It's been brought up a few times now, but how quotable are video games compared to TV and movies? Seems like people are more reluctant to shout "METAL GEAR?!" in public, regardless of how appropriate a situation might be. We'll see how the rest of our video game entrants hold up in the coming rounds.

I'm not 100% sure if I'd count it or not because I don't want to count quotes from real people (I think quotes from Abe Lincoln or Winston Churchill would be their own thing and require their own contest) but I didn't specify if biographies would count or not because they are technically "media." In the same vein I don't know if we'd then go ahead and classify the Bible as "media" because that might upset some people depending on their interpretation of that.

I'll probably just not address it and leave it on the nomination database list for Most Quotable II and if anyone in the nom topic brings it up as being not fair/offensive I'll just talk it out with any interested parties then. I personally don't care but I do feel like the Bible would clean the fuck up and would be like the Link of this contest series and it would make things kind of boring.

Unfortunately for Harry and Lloyd IOUs aren't legal tender in this contest. After receiving a burst of legit votes at the beginning YGOA turned up that Brooklyn Rage and sent this match straight to the graveyard.

This one was personally pretty surprising to me as I thought the days of YGOA quotes were long behind this board, but any long time B8er most likely remembers the entire year or so where every single person here was literally obsessed with quoting Tristen Taylor of all characters.

Dumb & Dumber was our first qualifying 2-seed and one of the first things nominated, and honestly, I have a big place in my heart for it, but I guess that don't mean shit in the face of a quote juggernaut.

Will YGOA be able to pull out a second trump card and make its way pass Seinfeld? We'll see.
