I saw the results and I claaaaaapped. A (1) v (3) division final?! We broke new ground!!!!

Pretty standard results, I don't think B8 is too keen on RLM's content. We also love Portal here too much for it to fall to arguably one of the most quotable movie franchises of all time. Annoyingly, Terminator has become so quotable that the latest movies can't move away from those quotes. All the trailers need to have "Come with me if you want to live" thrown in there somewhere and it's kind of weakened the strength of the quotes. Hopefully Dark Fate bombs and the series is put out to pasture.

A little light on the votals, but it was 4th of July. I was expecting these matches to be closer and to maybe have a 5 > 1 upset, but I guess the strength Rocky showed in R1 wasn't enough to overcome the Master of Unlocking. Maybe this will be a Rocky III type scenario and Rocky can come back next contest and make a miracle run.

Both victories were around the same margin, I think RE and BL are both probably comparable in strength. We'll see who comes out on top. I'm personally rooting for seeding upsets wherever possible so that I feel validated in my bracket-making skills.

Ah, Board 8. The only place where the Phoenix Wright series could get 6 votes against the Simpsons. This dominance shows that we're probably gonna end up seeing the Simpsons come out on top in this contest, although if it "falters" in another match then we'll most likely see Princess Bride take it.

Scott Pilgrim lead its match for a while, then it started to think about death and get sad and stuff and completely dropped the ball, letting The Room move to Division Finals. How can they vote against the Room? I dont believe it. I show them. I will record everything.

Division Finals start today with Hamlet v Princess Bride and LotR v Forrest Gump. Going to get pretty nuts I hope.

I thought we'd be raking in the votals, but I guess either people are sick of seeing the two winner steamroll or they were just busy on a nice Saturday after the 4th of July.

It's scary seeing Princess Bride dominate Hamlet, which has done surprisingly well up until this point. Meanwhile we see Gump only perform decently against LotR, a competitor whose strength I'm still not even sure about. The next round could very well determine who wins this entire contest.

I'm impressed with both matches today, we finally got votals back up to the 30s (and on a Sunday!) and we have a kinda big upset (not a seeding one) in MGS > Seinfeld.

I expected Seinfeld to do better but this is a board that once massively pulled for Snake > Link so I guess we know where our loyalties lie. I can imagine an entire Board of nerds who quote "kept you waiting, huh?" on a daily basis cuz that's what I do.

Meanwhile, Futurama kept up with Holy Grail for a while, but 'tis only a flesh wound! There was only a 1 point different in the victory margins of Holy Grail > Futurama and Holy Grail > Sonic which is super confusing to me as Futurama isn't exactly weak. Holy Grail might just have a set of ~20 fans that refuse to vote for anything else. I don't blame them, I re-watched it on Netflix last night and that shit is still one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. We might have a contest champ on our hands!

Spongebob got 10 votes before Anchorman got 1 while Star Wars and Portal were tied at 6 votes a piece until Star Wars hit the hyperdrive and never looked back.

This is another one of those stepping stone matches that lead to a crazy quarterfinals that I literally can't predict. If some of the dialogue during today's matches are indicative of anything it's that everyone seems to have different connotations to what "most quotable" means and what of these popular entrants they have heard quoted most in their lives

I had a boss who was a total dudebro and he quoted Anchorman every day of his life. I also work with kids and awkward teens that are always quoting Spongebob. Board 8 has members from all over so it's going to be interesting seen what ends up winning this contest. Star Wars might have a shot as well!

Two really great matches to close out the round, with The Room somehow keeping pace with the Simpsons one-to-one for 20 straight votes. In the end the Simpsons ended up getting 6 votes to close the match out for a predictable, yet much deserved win.

Our second match notably drew more people in than the first, with randos popping in to vote for only the Simpsons or the Room throughout the topic. Does this signal weakness for the Big Lebowski? It was almost a Dude Sandwich. It's safe to assume Simpsons is going to the finals, unless the Room really is significantly weaker than we think.

And so on

Just get the direct percentage for a contestant against the overall winner, and that's their X-Stat value. Then figure out the direct percentage from the ones they faced, divide by 50, and then multiply by the X-Stat value.

I mean, I can do them all for you in relatively short order if you just give me a list of results by division (or however you want to do them) so I don't have to scroll through the entire topic.
