Think my assessment of the lack of conviction behind hbthebattle's 'suspicion' of puns and lea was accurate. I don't feel a lot of heart there. It feels mostly like he's just bsing a reason to suspect people that are suspecting him.

hbthebattle do you have any suspicions of people not on your case right now? Because what I'm getting here feels mostly like thrashing under pressure more than an attempt to do well. I mean, you are my number one suspicion to be sure, but it is day one so it's possible I'm wrong because it's day one. If you're town, refocusing and give a non-reactionary view of who the possible scum in the game are could help your case tremendously.

It should be noted that calling everyone who is active as town is just most likely to do what Panthera did last game. Butter people up. It is flimsy and basically non-existent reasoning to call people town. He also makes the woozy comment

You see - the very first person to call me town in a game is very often scum. It's just a pattern I notice. So we can't be town buds. We are cursed to walk this road as enemies. You can still call me town though. It'll make for a nice dramatic and sad story of one-sided love

Okay I think I have read enough of the corrik/cam posts to get the general gist and I have to say I am kinda see Corriks logic on this one (scary, I know). Town in general will post more unrequested insights than scum. Scum finds it at least more unnecessary to make points unless they further their agenda in some way.

I dont see why or how Corriks argument makes Cam go for pink elephant metaphors.

So anyways, someone will say but Corrik he did the same thing as town in endgame. He called people town based on activity and thought it was scummier to be inactive with his bar graph. How has that changed?

And, I agreed! I thought it was typical. UNTIL he told dowolf he didn't find it fishy if people weren't here (Hint: Made it scummy if they were posting) because he waits till they do post and reads them then based on the quality of their posts because he is SANE.

That is a direct contradiction for the most part to his actual play regarding activity and town/scum regarding it.

So, why did he even say this...

Well, hint hint... He was pseudo defending himself from me with the argument.

That argument being... Was me saying "Camarija has been a ghost. That is unlike his town play."

He tried to contradict his own mafia mantra/guideline/go to in order to use someone else's comments to defend himself against mine.

Again, most of the discussion has focused on those who are me or those who are on me. I don't think Cam is scum, so I guess dowolf is probably the person who looks scummiest off the "on me" list, but that's just a surface read and is pretty faint- I haven't done a serious reread focusing on him yet.

The fact is, there is almost certainly a couple scum in the group of seven on me, and in a pool of 21 it makes sense to narrow your lens temporarily.

I have a theory that dowolf is Mafia who is more invested in mafia chat than they are in the game thread

I think they get high level summaries of the game in mafia chat, and it more or less shows they understand what is going on, on a higher level, but when it comes to specifics they seem to not know exactly why they know the things they know?

I don't know if that makes sense, but it's my theory
