In my NG+ I am largely overleveled so I wouldn't count on it unless you can kamikaze a bunch a dudes on him maybe... even then unlikely

But the thief can Steal his Dark Seal and that's the only real value of fighting him, after that just finish off the room of goons and the chapter should end... I just killed him because I could

I'm still on my first playthrough, and have all the Statue unlocks other than the final XP bonuses and the max stat ups. Should I save my renown for NG+ unlocks or buy those final bonuses?

Question: Does renoun you spend on Statues still get redeemed in NG+? I know that the statue progress holds over, but not if you permanently lose the renoun you use on them, since it's way more valuable to spend renoun on Professor level and supports than on teaching speed and EXP gain.

Well I don't know how much unused renown I had at the end of my playthrough, but at the start of my NG+ I had about 6700 renown on me.

oh right and yeah obviously I bought A+ Prof rank right away (well not right away, you can save 500 renown by first getting to E+, then just buying E+ to A+

I spent all my renown at the end and still had enough to max professor level at the very start.

Three activities a month is more than enough and you'll gain professor levels naturally from playing the story

Three activities is literally nothing holy shit.

Even ten activities goes by so fast!

And then you can't instruct as many students per week so they can't reclass as fast and you can't do as many battles per week so you have less weeks to explore which makes the lack of activity points even more alarming.

Is it just me or is money hard to come by in this game? Even with the Online Liason, I'm lucky if 1 person buys my item.

I haven't had to sell anything yet but I always try to give a Lost Item/Gift before using Activity Points. And this month (10) I don't think I can buy all the Gifts from the Seller.

Why on earth would I ever do a battle, my characters are way too op as it is. I mean sometimes I need to grind supports but just one battle should be enough for that.

As far as training them, I found as long as I have a goal for each character in mind at the beginning they'll be ready to class up the second they reach the right level without anything other than autoinstruct.

The only characters I'm trying to recruit this playthrough (w/ BE) are Mercedes, Felix, Leonie, and Ingrid. So far I only got Mercedes to join. I'm close to getting Leonie and I'm just going to teaparty the shit out of Felix and Ingrid.

After I get those units I'm not sure what I'm going to do with my AP.

Most of it goes to sharing meals so everyone is always fully motivated for instructing, but I've been spending 4-6 points for 2-3 weeks per month the last few months while raising Byleth's proficiencies to make him a Holy Knight (after I decided I'd rather make Marianne a Dark Knight instead). But now that everyone is just about where they need to be, I'll probably start using them to raise supports with staff members I don't really use.

It is true if you want to make byleth anything other than a sword user those points are p useful for training (which goes at a snails pace)

Yeap, it took all those weeks just to raise his Lance and Riding skills to C. And that was with me soft-resetting to get a Great every time (which I fully acknowledge is ultimately not worth the time but I have a bad habit of playing games in dumb unfun ways).

my current NG+ Blue Lions I'm doing the most OCD unfun playthrough that nobody else would enjoy but even I have never thought about resetting for Greats

I don't do it all the time, but if I can gain a level with a Great or 2 (or 3) I'll do it. I have multiple saves and have gone back a few times figuring out the best way to go about my days.

OCD to the max.

I was going for Felix and used up some AP to level up my Blyeth in Swords. I thought I had the B but forgot that there are + ranks (D+, C+, etc) so I only had a C+ in Swords.. and then I found out I don't just need a B in Swords, I need a B+ for Felix.

So I went back a few saves and now I'm leveling up Lance instead for Leonie.

I don't know what it is about Byleth, I even just tried making him a brigand but by the time I was level 25 he still hadn't reached D+ in Axes, and thats with me maxing out all the lessons he could get in axes and exclusively using the axe.

I put a good but of time into Cyril and Catherine, but I feel like I have to use Gilbert on the Blue Lions route because of Annete and Sethis because I went so hard into Flayn this route...bah, I've had plenty of extra points to spend and statue bonuses, I'll take the hit. Will still have a Wyvern Lord with Sethis even if I stop using Cyril. Catherine is also kind of boring to use, she's just too damn powerful for her own good.

There's a merchant that sells ingredients.
edit: or I might be misremembering things. I never bought anything anyway, just used the greenhouse and fished a lot.

Obviously the unique classes aren't part of that... dancer can use magic, unsure about the others.
