Lunatic, theoretically in December.

Seteth's average stats don't really stand out (he's basically Hilda minus a few points of speed and luck), but you can't go wrong with wyvern riders in this game, and if one of them gets blessed, watch out.

Yeah I normally don't care for his archetype but him being a cyncial, depressive person who fears that nobody can ever truly love him (including his own parents) puts a neat spin on him and I ended up enjoying his character a lot.

There are ways to fight him besides dark magic. You only really need to the first time.

I hear Maddening gives him a relic (so you can't just steal it away from him to get around it) that prevents effective-type damage (and crits) so Lysithea can no longer meme him to death.

I used Gambits to soften him up myself before having Byleth finish him. Well, the first two times at least, after that it was no longer necessary to even need that.

And yes, flying/horses are busted in this game. They usually are in general, but the superior movement and canto is just too much. Shoutouts to Bow Knight with inherent Bow Range+2 as well so you basically have a highly mobile ballista that can safely attack anything without being countered. I had Shamir as one and her natural crit rate was like 40 on most anything too so it was just hilarious. Could pump it up to about displayed crit of 70-80 with Killer Weapons.

The biggest benefit to recruiting her, even moreso than how good she is, is that you don't have to fight her ludicrous AS, avoid and crit rate. The generic replacement is still pretty nasty, but nothing like the real deal

Even the usual suspects who would cry TRIGGERED over this sort of thing were actually very supportive of that scene, so ratings feels like the most likely culprit. Feels super unfortunate of that's the case, I hate that the rest of the world has to get their experience watered down because one region feels the need to draw lines for how provocative art is allowed to be.

There's been a number of high profile cases involving violence/rape/murder against women in Australia in recent years to the point that it's become a very sensitive subject other there. I don't agree with the censorship at all, but at the same time it doesn't surprise me given how hot a topic it is.

It only comes out on September 20th in Australia, so the theory there would be this patch was for the sake of its rating there. Still seems really dumb to blame Australia automatically, but with the timing I can at least somewhat understand why they might want to try and blame Australia, if they're ignoring the fact that the old line wasn't that great of a translation... and it seems much more likely they were just making the translation take away the extra info that was added.

So Serenesforest (and 4chan) looked over comparisons of the JP text with the changed line, and theyre no longer assuming this has to do with censorship. Turns out the most likely scenario is that this is an identical situation to the Evangelion redub: that theyre trying to keep the translated dialogue as close as possible to the original text.

Yea I found Seteth to be pretty insane as well. He has a bit of speed issues initially but his join stats are honestly pretty high. and 19 speed isn't that awful. He also starts with high ranks in Lance, Axe, Flying and Authority.

Growth wise yea he's Hilda with 20% more dex, 10% more magic, 10% less luck, 5% less def, 5% more res, 5% less Cha.

He also tends to support characters who end up in Flying classes often too. Ingrid, Hilda, Cyril, and I think someone else.

I personally think Seteth is better than Hilda. The proficiency difference is big with Authority alone, stat wise they'll be similar but Seteth will have a big lead in Dex, Seteth has a support lead on her and Seteth has a better innate crest, Seteth gets Swift Strikes which is a top tier combat arte. Hilda doesn't really get any great ones. They have almost the exact same personal skill. Except Seteth buffs Women and Hilda buffs Men.

(The real answer is you use both together and keep them together.)

Its not closer to the Japanese, its further. The Japanese says he disciplined her around the clock. The new translation just says he tied her to a chair. That could have been five minutes for all we know now. The original was much closer to the meaning of the Japanese.
