If you have play records from Pokmon: Lets Go, Pikachu! on your Nintendo Switch system, youll be able to receive a special Pikachu that can Gigantamax in Pokmon Sword and Pokmon Shield.

If you have play records from Pokmon: Lets Go, Eevee! on your Nintendo Switch system, youll be able to receive a special Eevee that can Gigantamax in Pokmon Sword and Pokmon Shield.

Note: The special Pikachu and Eevee cannot evolve.

So yeah, there won't be Gigantamax forms for Raichu or any of the Eeveelutions.

I mean at least the Charizard and Butterfree forms look fine. I don't really like how the official art for all of them comes from a lower perspective and has half the Pokemon in shadow. Just makes it boring to look at them.

They're holding things back but still doing constant trailers and reveals. So each one has less content and feels underwhelming. So really they shouldn't be doing this many trailers and reveals.

Also I loved the way they revealed so much last time. This time is terrible and these last two reveal videos in particular were beyond awful. 24 hours for a fucking Ponyta and 5 Gen 1 giants, 3 of which look boring or bad

I prefer stuff being held back! I've been happy with the pace of reveals so far. (Even the livestream. Obviously it was a huge troll for people watching in real-time, but as someone who just checked this topic every few hours, yay pony)

Do you think the starters don't evolve? We also know that Drednaw, Alcremie, Corviknight, and Polteageist have unshown prevos (2 in Corviknight's case) and that Yamper and Rolycoly have unshown evos.

I remember when I was complaining because Let's Go was just pandering to Gen 1 for the umpteenth time and people got mad at me saying that it's not the mainline game coming later and that the actual mainline game wouldn't do that and be way different.

I enjoy pandering to gen 1 because I love gen 1, so I am entirely OK with this. I am actually going to be making a lot of videos about Sword/Shield on youtube with my fiance so I am pretty damn hyped. I think sometimes you guys nitpick a bit much, but it is your experience I guess.

I dont hate Gen 1, but Im tired of it and especially tired of it hogging almost all the Megas, regional variants, etc. I mean Gigantamaxing is brand new and theres already more Gen 1s that do it shown than brand new Pokmon lol

I wonder if they're showing all this Gen 1 stuff since it's better for marketing and it gives them something to show while they hold back most of the new stuff.

People like this are why Gen 1 gets so much focus. Fans of later generations, esp. 3-7, don't need to be specifically pandered to to buy the games (which is why sales have stayed relatively consistent since Gen 3).

I think showing at least the middle evolution for the starters wouldve been better marketing. Its not like og fans werent gonna buy this if we didnt get giant fat Pikachu or slightly fluffier Eevee

From a marketing standpoint, everybody knows the starters evolve, so you're not going to bring anybody in with "Look the starters evolve."

But you might bring in people that are like "LOL LOOK AT FAT PIKACHU AND LONG MEOWTH I LOVE THEM" because the sad truth is Gen 1 sells about a million times better than anything else to the general public.

No-one is hinging their decision on whether to buy this on what the middle evos look like. The intention was to shift a few extra copies of Lets Go and it will.

I wouldn't be too upset with the Gen 1 pandering if they'd switch it up more. I feel like there's just so many obvious choices they're going with.

Butterfree is the most interesting of these to me because Butterfree is generally pretty overlooked despite being in the anime. Sirfetch'd was hype for the same reason. More of this please and less Pikachu/Eevee/Charizard.

Going to get booed out of the topic but I've caught them all a few times now, don't need to do it every time and I don't need to use my old favorites every time. I have been loving playing Let's Go Pikachu lately and reliving memories in a 3D world, let's use some new stuff.

I'd bet money that's not going to make any kind of painful dent in sales, though, since the casual player plays through with Pokemon they catch in the game and doesn't transfer their collection from game to game.

See i dont even care a lot of Pokmon were cut, but theres complaints of it daily in lots of Pokmon places so its pretty clearly a big deal for people

Time will tell, but it seems more like a vocal minority than something that's actually going to kill sales.
