B) Lay low for a bit, but start scouting and gathering information.

You work on helping Phantom gather the corpses into your new hideout, then assess your situation as he goes to work with cries of glee. A rainstorm has sprung up rather suddenly, and the night is coming on, so it's not incredibly likely you'll accomplish much tonight. You get some sleep while Phantom tinkers.

You're awakened in the morning by Phantom shaking you, and he introduces you to "Christine." He claims to have inserted her soul into this doll...automaton...puppet....golem....thing, that he has built out of the soldiers' corpses. It's vaguely human in form, although it certainly won't pass for one any time soon. Still, it's impressive handiwork, as you had hoped. Christine can vocalize, but not speak, and her movements are surprisingly smooth.

Phantom informs you that, with your and Christine's help, and a steady supply of soldiers, he could make a whole army, and paint the whole world in his music! That's a good basic game plan to work towards, but you need some idea of what's going on in this world at least. Time to scout.

There's no telling what Phantom would do if sent out unsupervised, and Christine is unlikely to be of any use in this area, so it looks like you're up. The rain has eased up a little, but a heavier cloud cover lends an odd sense of dreariness to the garish landscape.

After an uneventful night's sleep, you wake to see Phantom still at work, with Christine's limited assistance of course. Servants don't need to sleep, after all. It looks like he has another doll ready, and is close to completing a second. He'll be fine on his own for a bit, so you let him know you're going to go scouting. It doesn't seem like there will be a whole lot to see in neutral territory, (except skirmishes, which you might be better off avoiding) so you might as well check out one of the cities. New Derse sounds better and you like black, so that's as good a place to start as any with the limited information you have.

....Well, ****. A bit of a ways from your camp, you stumble across a pair of people. A woman with pale skin and black armor is on point. She sure looks like a Servant, but she is accompanied by what appears to be a Dersian. The fellow has black skin, but has black clothes and a more human-like shape than the soldiers you encountered. If he was human, you'd assume he was her Master, but you don't know if these creatures CAN be Masters. Now might not be a great time to find out. They spotted you as you spotted them, and they're headed your way.

You spread your arms to show that you are (presumably) alone and unarmed. The newcomers stop at a safe distance and regard you with suspicion as you introduce yourself. "I am Saber," the woman responds. "Why should I not strike you down where you stand?"

Sabers tend to have high magic resistance as a rule and you need to be one hell of a magus to even try to fight a Servant even disregarding that. Burning a Command Seal sucks but...

A) Illusion your way out of this

Well, this went south quicker than expected, but it's not the first time you've dealt with a situation like this. "Your loss," you say with a shrug, quickly whipping up an illusion of a large axe-wielding monster. Saber takes only a moment to slice through the illusion and dispel it, but you weren't really banking on fooling them for longer. You've created two copies of yourself, and start running in three different directions. ....Unfortunately, Servants are pretty hard to trick, and Saber picks the correct one to follow. You have a couple seconds head start, and she's surprisingly slow for a Servant. You've bought yourself a few seconds before she catches up....

A) More illusory shenanigans (give me a good idea)
B) Command Seal time (I promise I'm not trying to railroad you into this you're just failing a lot of dice rolls >_>)
C) RUN LIKE HECK (you're not THAT far from home)

Well, time for your next trick. You whip up a huge illusory sandstorm in a wide area. With the weird non-dirt ground of Skaia and the rain pouring down, it doesn't take Magic Resistance to figure out what's happening, but all you need it to do is restrict Saber's visibility. Running and casting at the same time is hard, though, and you slip a bit. You reflexively roll to the side, narrowly avoiding a leaping strike from Saber. Her sword is buried in the ground a brief moment, allowing you to find your feet and get a bit more distance. Saber catches up again, but you're getting closer to your hideout....

SNKT. Suddenly, Phantom is here, claw sunk into Saber's arm as she was attempting an overhand strike. He must have seen the sandstorm! The tables have turned...

1) This seems like a good time to escape!
2a) Press the advantage! (Keep the sandstorm)
2b) Press the advantage! (Drop the sandstorm)
3) The Dersian is lumbering up to the scene- maybe you can shank him.
4) See if they're interested in re-opening negotiations.

Excellent! You're not sure how Berserker would compare to Saber in a fair fight, but you're not here to fight fair. After getting to a relatively safe distance, you allow the sandstorm to dispel. Now, let's have Berserker carve these guys up! But wait, some other people are coming on the scene- it's a large group of Dersians! They are headed up by a tall one in fancy robes, and dressed a bit like some sort of police force. The fancy robed one points at Saber's Master, and the police-looking fellows surge forward to attack. Saber turns her attention to them.

1) Keep up the attack on Saber
2) Try to get a hit in on her Master
3) Hang back and observe for a bit
4) Fall back
5) Turn on the interlopers
6) Some sort of illusion shenanigans

You believe you mentioned the part where you weren't here to play fair. Saber takes her eyes off Phantom for a moment, and Berserker seizes the opening. Saber turns back too late to defend herself, and Phantom slits her throat. She stumbles back a few steps, stunned. She raises her sword weakly. "Ex....cali....bur....M.....Mor...." She never finishes that invocation, toppling forward and dropping her sword, faintly glowing black. She disintegrates in a burst of golden energy.

Saber's former Master sees his Servant killed in front of him, and offers no resistance as his fellow Dersites surround him. You see now that there's a human among them, keeping a low profile under a hood. The Dersites surround the Master and tie him up, as their leader watches from a distance. The human backhands the captive, before the group starts to leave with the hapless Master in tow. The grunts regard Phantom with nervousness, but human and leader barely spare you a glance.

1) That's enough adventure for now- let's regroup.
2) Let's talk to these guys.
3) Attack the captors.
4) Follow them.
5) Try to finish off Saber's Master.

((I would like to just say that Saber had a 90% chance of surviving that blow even once it hit, and a 50% chance of shrugging it off entirely >_>))
