But given it's already out in some parts of the world, I just have to know. ~~Spoiler: the events of VII and AC have already happened in another timeline~~ ~~Spoiler: the ghost things are Whispers of Fate that try to keep the characters in line with the original game~~ ~~Spoiler: Biggs and Wedge live. Jessie unsure.~~ ~~Spoiler: Sephiroth kills Barret, but the whisperers revert time~~ Spoiler: after the highway chase Cloud and co. fight the Whispers of Fate and beat them, making it so they're no longer bound by the original FFVII's storyline. During the battle the party is shown the clip of an old Nanaki with his cubs running towards a destroyed Midgar, Red XIII guesses it's a vision of the future that awaits them if they fail ~~Spoiler: Sephiroth shows up after beating them. Fight is basically AC-tier of anime bullshit with Aeris and Today joining in. Sephiroth gets a black wing mid-fight because of course he fucking does~~ Spoiler: Sephiroth travels back in time to stop himself. After beating Sephiroth, Cloud and the gang must stop Sephiroth, who despite helping them stop Sephiroth was still evil (because he's Sephiroth) ~~Spoiler: while this happens we flashback to Zack surviving his last stand in an alternate timeline~~ ~~Spoiler: after beating Sephiroth he teleports Cloud to the "edge of creation" and asks for his help in "defying destiny... together". He refuses and fight similar to their final omnislash duel ensues~~ ~~Spoiler: the party escapes Midgar. We continue Zack's scene with him walking to Midgar with a comatose Cloud holding on to him. The time ghosts exist to keep the timeline unaltered, so whenever something happens that would change things too much, they interfere. Ex: Cloud meets Hojo too early, and Hojo tries to tell him that he's not really a Soldier, so the time ghosts kidnap him. Jessie survives, so the time ghosts trick her into grenading herself (she may live, it's unclear). The time interference causes Red XIII to see his future children and Cloud to see the aftermath of Aeris' death. People who loved FF7 and don't play games much anymore, but were looking forward to thing. Gerstmann recanted a story about a guy in a Verizon store working on his phone talking about excited he was for the game, and how the guy had no idea it wasn't "the full game" as we thought at the time. I wanted some new stuff, definitely some elaboration on stuff that was already there...but it sounds like we cant even really depend on this game to have everything from the original if this new stuff causes the plot to go off the rails. Im concerned were going to end up with an ending where your party contains a still alive Aeris and Zack and an alternate universe version of Sephiroth in a final boss fight against an evil Aeris from another timeline. --- For your BK_Sheikah00.
