Mac Arrowny 04/18/20 3:23:32 PM #106:	Watched through Room Camp, the short Yuru Camp/Laid Back Camp sequel. It was real good! It's a series of shorts, but it's basically like one 36 minute OVA episode? It has pretty much all the quality of the original series. Only flaw is that there's not much Rin, but I feel the other characters were better than usual, so that was okay. Obviously it was very, very good, though there was a bit of a dissapointment in it not really being a movie, but rather basically 3 episodes stitched together. I had to call it quits after a baddie's personality did a 180 after a minute of talk and one moderate punch. Imagine if Yugi beat Kaiba in a duel and then Kaiba started acting like Joey and slobbering over Yugi. Even bad fanfiction would pause before stooping so low. That, and while the universe had an interesting premise, I didn't feel like it would remain interesting for the time the series wanted me to invest. Mac Arrowny 04/20/20 3:44:20 PM #120:	Dorohedoro beated. Pretty disappointing show! Makes me wonder if the manga is better. I liked the early episodes where things were more mysterious and it was all just fun/ridiculous adventures, but it got a lot more boring when it focused more on the sorcerers and explained more of the world. I think if it'd stayed more episodic and mysterious it could've gotten away with stuff a lot better. Like, at the start of the show, it's fine that sorcerers are just random evil dudes who do evil shit for mysterious reasons, but then later it develops them more and tries to portray them as good people who do evil shit because... the writing needs to have a conflict? I dunno. All the sorcerer characters were pretty boring too, particularly Shin and En. Needed more Caiman and Nikaido adventures. Also would've been nice if the last arc hadn't been about Nikaido being a damsel in distress. Compounding all this is that the show just... ends without really resolving anything. The manga is one of those all time masterpiece classics, so I hope I'm personally a bit happier with the show.
