last time I checked the subreddit in April everyone was super on board with the Rui ship, like there was no way Natsuo gets off that ship because they were literally engaged to marry

if they are upset it can only mean the other girl wins! FINALLY A GOOD ENDING, but with my luck the original ship probably wins and the silent majority for the other ship finally shows up to complain

I finished so I'll give you the gist

Hina breaks up with Natsuo when their relation was found out
Hina goes away for a while
Rui gets with Natsuo
Hina comes back but does not get back in the shipping lane
Hina spends a few dozen chapters hiding her feelings
Rui goes to New York as a chef and breaks up with Natsuo after some dumb insecurities
Hina looks to be coming back in the shipping lane and even declares her intent to Rui
Rui gets back with Natsuo and GETS PREGNANT
IT'S OVER RUI HAS THE HIGH GROUND
JUST KIDDING
Hina gets TRUCK-KUN'd
Rui calls off the wedding
Hina wakes up from 5 year coma
Hina wins

Hina is the older sister and also Natsuo's teacher and Rui is the younger sister

Natsuo fucks, literally fucks Rui in the first 5 minutes of the manga, and then later in the same chapter their parents got married

I'm not sure if it actually counts as a harem cause none of the other girls outside of Rui or Hina ever lasted as possible romantic interests for more than an arc but... It hits the same vein.

the author has attracted a huge following that likes these dumpster fires, I imagine she will be back to inducing rage in a few months with a new big hit

and yes handsomeboy there's more of that throughout the manga, it's basically smut but in a shonen magazine and the target audience loves that stuff

Will take solace in the author's apology alternate ending novel they wrote because they knew they fucked up.

A manga I was reading got a shipping war and the outcome isnt clear at all. You can make a case for either character and the fanbase is pretty evenly split.

The most common endings in my experience

First girl wins
Whichever of the main girls is the bitchiest wins (this is commonly the first girl wins too due to how popular those types are)
The author pusses out and nobody wins or loses wasting the time of literally everyone aka the fuck you I just wanted your money and to troll you ending

Got to wonder how many recent harem/ love triangle manga didnt screw up the ending. Obviously some shippers are going to be pissed but I dont think many landed it well.
