Finished up villainess. It was great all the way to the end. Quite happy a S2 was announced even though it's ended pretty well as it is.

On to finish tower of god now. Think I have like 4 eps left.

Finished up tower of god. I think the last few episodes were done better than the earlier episodes. It all just flowed a little a bit better. None of it was a surprise since I've already read a lot of the source material but it was cool seeing it animated. Hope we get a S2 but I'm not sure exactly how they would do it.

I finished the Phantom Blood arc of Jojo yesterday. I know it's early, but it's gonna be pretty hard to replace Johnathan as my personal favorite Jojo. He's like a golden age superhero; pure of heart and unwavering in the face of evil.

Hot damn, a lot of things are heating up in this week's Jump titles.

There were a lot of death flags raised in My Hero Academia. Like even more than usual.

We're about to see a huge fight in Undead Unluck, and it's refreshing to see the female MC in a shonen be so proactive.

Being Fumino is suffering in We Never Learn.

And in Chainsaw Man, HOLY FORKING SHIRTBALLS! DID THAT REALLY JUST HAPPEN!? The gun devil looks SICK and this is just at 20% power.

Also, goddam Makima really is one scary bitch. I wonder just how powerful she is since the fear of authority and loss of free will is a pretty long-running fear of humanity. Like, it should be a just a few places below primordials like Darkness if we're taking into account the entire human history.

Reread the chapter and I wouldn't say that she drove Darkness into a corner.

She had to use a sacrifice from one devil to get in and another one to get out. So she definitely isn't as omnipresent as Darkness is. Plus, she nearly lost an arm trying to damage Darkness, which admittedly stunned it for a few moments, but then she got impaled on the way out.

She might be slightly weaker than Darkness atm, but we still don't know how powerful she could get.

So i watched the first four parts of totally not marks One Piece reviews to recap what ive read in the manga.

Now im watching Skypiea arc of the anime. Finished the first part and this is the first time Ive loved One Piece.

Maybe I should have tried the anime a lot sooner.

I don't like the arc in general, but Eneru is easily one of the best One Piece villains and when he finally meets Luffy is one of my favorite scenes in the show. Granted, a lot of the other shit really builds up to that moment, especially since he really might be the most god-like character introduced in the series so far.

Granted, one of the things I hated most about the arc was the Mantra ability, which later on becomes a bit of a staple in the series, even if the usage doesn't seem as OP as Eneru's and his cronies'. That form of Haki lets most characters sense things happening close to them, whereas the monks could sense things from great distance.

That was just a retcon to make it the same thing as Haki.

So, I watched some stuff. Finished Villainess, which I did like, but didn't love. I'd watch more if they did another season though. Watched through Honzuki s2, which was pretty great. Hope we keep getting seasons of it. Also watched through Kami no Tou, which I also really liked. It felt like somewhat like an expanded prologue and I really hope we get more of it animated.

Will probably be watching Gleipnir and Kaguya sama s2 next. Not expecting much from Gleipnir and can't remember Kaguya s1, but I think I'll just dive straight into s2.

Toradora is so adorable.I should have watched this show years ago. I don't know if I would have appreciated it back then, but it's fun to see how Tiga slowly warming up to Ryuji. Although I'm only on episode 8.

One of these days I'll get around to watching Toradora. I wound up taking a break from K-On because, well, K-On. I kinda like the characters, but the jokes never land right and the episodes all feel kinda dull. I would call it quits, but I'm mildly invested in the overall story at this point.

There are a few kinda intriguing anime on NF atm (and Crunchyroll obviously has some stuff I keep meaning to watch), but there's a bunch of non-anime I'll probably be going through first.

Anybody familiar with Fairy Fencer F: Advent Dark Force?

It's on sale on the eshop for like $8.

I've never played a Compile Hearts game before, but I have heard some stories about how their games are like. And I've heard it compared like the "junk food" of anime games.

Looking at the screenshots tells me it's probably filled to the brim with anime tropes and cliches. But I kinda want to see what all the fuss is about.

What do you guys think?

i beat the original FFF and played about half of advent dark forces

it's a very good game using a battle system similar to nep games (feels much less broken and more legit, though), and while the plot is kind of low-stakes at first, it does get very interesting partway through

advent dark forces adds a new ending/route that i'd hoped for after beating the original, so by that inclusion alone it's already got my approval

good music, good protagonist, good party members

my main gripe would have been the DLC model (it charged a ton for party members and shit...), but if switch has all that already, then hell yea

I actually used to absolutely hate tsunderes because I felt they were all like this. And now I've come to love them, seeing as most of them aren't this turbulently abusive.

The biggest problem with FFF advent of darkness DLC is not just that it's fucking lame for paywalling shit that should be in the game but also that just like nep it's not remotely balanced. Some of it is fine, some of it is useless and some of it absolutely breaks the game and everything in between.

I played about half the game. It was ok but nothing more than that. If you have a good jrpg to play, play that instead but if you don't FFF is fine I guess.

EDIT: Also fuck doctors, back to the hospital tomorrow probably. Main doctor wasted a good 6 weeks of my limited time waiting on something a quick phone call could have done. I'm tired of being so angry but I just can't find a way to let it go. I hate this.

Kinda like how people react to Love Hina with disgust nowadays and describe Naru Narusegawa as abusive.

Even at the time, she kinda seemed like a bitch although Love Hina in general is still a fun show. I imagine a lot of the modern disdain comes from the fact it was so popular at the time.

Back from hospital. Left after they took 25 minutes to respond to my calls for help and ruined 2 IVs in a row causing both my arms to swell up. I think I almost died but no one knows whats happening to me so I can never really know for sure. I can't feel safe in a hospital that takes that long to respond and messes up so often. I also had a bad reaction to the TPN so my reason for going was pretty much fulfilled. No idea what to do from here. TPN was my last resort and it didn't work. Very upset. I guess I still have 2 longshots to try and follow up on. Been getting harder to breathe lately though.

Probably better off publishing on webtoon in english. Takes quite a while to learn to draw though.

Speaking of webtoon, I caught up on mage and demon queen in the hospital. I really hope it gets an anime eventually, such a fun read. I also read a bit of hardcore leveling warrior and feel meh about it. I feel like nobody really has much personality and they just jump from event straight to event without any downtime to develop the characters. The dueling system is fucked up and so easily abuseable. The whole concept of character abilities would make so many people rage and they do not seem very balanced either. Crits oneshotting people of any level is insane. Main girl would easily let main guy just steal her stats and then he'd basically be unstoppable and could EASILY just farm some high rank players and give her 999 in all stats too.

Actually the way they went about things is ultra stupid. Dark could have just paid some low levels to lose their stats to main guy and then he could give them to dark, main girl, and himself and within a couple hours from starting they'd be the 3 strongest players in the game. I'm sure low level players would happily trade their garbage few levels for like 1 mil gold. Assuming main guys level doesn't reset he could then duel some high level people for their gear there ya go, rank 1 back in less than a day. He says other people have stronger abilities but his ability is absurdly broken since he can not only cap his own stats, but other peoples as well. If anything is more broken than that, the game is just unplayable.

Idk, I feel like this game just couldn't actually work at all.
