Advokaiser 08/11/20 2:30:36 PM #1:	Welcome to RR~B8E! This is a contest made to determine the greatest rivalry --fictional or not-- as decided upon by you, the Board 8-ers! Rules: 1._Vote for your favorite rivalry(ies). You don't have to vote on both matches, but it'd be cool if you did! 2._Traditional rules apply: No alts, no rallying, no cheating of any kind. 3._Topics will last for exactly 24 hours since the moment of posting. They'll be posted at 2:00 PM EST every day (save for today). 4._Have fun! Today's contestants: MATCH 1: Oliver Brown vs. The Board of Education (Historical Case) Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka was a landmark 1954 Supreme Court case in which the justices ruled unanimously that racial segregation of children in public schools was unconstitutional. Brown v. Board of Education was one of the cornerstones of the civil rights movement, and helped establish the precedent that separate-but-equal education and other services were not, in fact, equal at all. -History.com Batman vs. The Joker (DC Comics) As one of the most popular superheroes in history, Batman has proved that he doesnt need superpowers to keep Gotham safe. The Joker is a psychopathic villain whose craziness extends to no end. This is one of those rivalries that can still remain fresh even after many, many decades later. -Advokaiser MATCH 2: The Kid vs. The Guy (I Wanna Be The Guy) I Wanna Be The Guy is a game developed by Michael Kayin OReilly, and tells the story of a child --known as The Kid-- and his treacherous quest to become The Guy. When The Kid finally meets The Guy, he learns something shocking: Former Grandfather The Guy has been killed! Now The Kid has to put an end to the one who took his grandfathers place, in a battle to the death that will determine the fate of The Kid, and the rest of the Kids. Oh, and did I mention that this game inspired many to create what is now a total of over 9,000 fangames? Thats right, its over 9,000. -Advokaiser Dexter vs. Mandark (Dexter's Laboratory) For the childhood of many, Dexters Laboratory was one of our favorite shows. It truly was the golden era of Cartoon Network. The boy genius Dexter, on his way to another regular day on the Elementary School, soon finds out that he has acquired a rival that matches his own intellect: Mandark.
