Also, I'd say that 2k15 was worse than 2k16 and 2k17. But that's because of the console transition more than anything.

Right but I dont think any of these had the same trend line as the last few WWE 2K games

People liked Black Flag and Syndicate! Most CoDs are well received aside from Ghosts and Infinite Warfare.

It's sad, too, since 2K20 actually does a lot right but it's just such a buggy mess. They actually fixed a lot of the bigger bugs, to be fair, but it was too little, too late.

Wouldn't that make Paige easier to fire, though? Like, they're both ultimately doing the same thing, but one of those you have to scrap from TV plans and replace and the other you don't.

From what people have said, they don't want to fire Paige because they think it will look bad if they fire her after her neck injury. Plus, she probably has more of a leg to stand on if she wanted to raise a stink over this due to her non-performer status and they probably think she can signal boost further than Zelina (because of her movie, etc.).

SAG President getting in touch with Zelina is not good news for WWE (or any other American televised promotion)

To add another layer, word is WWE has refused to let Aleistar Black go back to NXT because, act surprised, he isn't happy with how he's being used on the main roster.

Depending on what happened and what was said, I think this all just bodes really badly for WWE and it's independent contractor status.

I listened to a bit of the podcast with Alvarez and Lance Storm for a bit and they talked about Zelina Vega as well.

Bryan brought up a good point that the women in the company make significantly less than the men. "If you guys saw some of the numbers for women's contracts like five years ago, you would be appalled."

He mentioned that their downsides guarantee is so low too, and they're making less because of no house shows and Zelina in particular has had no merch and there's nothing she can do to increase her pay except for Twitch and Onlyfans and whatever else.

Bryan continued to explain that Zelina is making ridiculous money off of Twitch, etc. and that it could honestly be more than her contract or enough to not put up with this BS, and she would have more freedoms without WWE trying to cut her off from it.

So Bryan SPECULATES that she just put her foot down and WWE showed her the boot and she was pretty clearly fired before posting the union Tweet. And she's not worried about money.

I also think it's entirely possible that any other wrestling company is looking to pick her up ASAP and it's a lot more appealing on both ends since she can bring people from her Twitch audience to watch the shows and that any other wrestling company doesn't give a fuck about her having her own Twitch.

I wanted it to happen for a long time, Roman Reigns wanted it to happen for a long time, and Vince McMahon wanted it to happen for a long time. But the timing was never right. Roman Reigns could not pull off this portrayal of the top star in the industry even a year ago. He wasnt weathered enough, he wasnt seasoned enough, and he wasnt experienced enough. He still looked too young.
But now, you look at his face, you see some seasoning and some weathering. He was beating the crap out of his cousin inside Hell in a Cell and he says I did this to you when we were kids, and here we are 35 years old doing this, and he looks 35. He looks like a badass 35, but he still looks 35. Before he still looked like late 20s or early 30s, and he still looked too young. He wasnt grizzled, he didnt have any scars. Now, you see the wars on his face. Now, you see the pressure and the obligation and the responsibility and the accountability and the sheer burden I think thats the core word when it comes to the characterization of the top star in WWE the burden and the weight of that burden and what it has done to Roman Reigns.
