Drew on Smackdown was fucking great, I will even consider starting to watch his segments of Raw again. The first babyface in WWE in years who is allowed to be a tough guy while still being a babyface. Wrestling needs a lot more Drew Mac and Roman Reigns in 2020

Pretty soon they won't have a choice.

I like Alexa Bliss and I think she's one of the nicest WWE stars I've seen, but this is outrageous. She's making a lot more than a Zelina Vega, almost guaranteed. But this is such bootlicking that it's gross.

I don't know why you think Roman Reigns or anyone has a say in the matter.

All it takes is one person making a complaint and they step in to assess the situation. Zelina Vega is already discussing with SAG and Yang says he has multiple people, including a star that's been there forever that says they wouldn't fire him, all saying they're willing to speak out over it.

Like this isn't something WWE can bullshit around, when it's so obvious they shouldn't be classified as independent contractors. This is something where an actual agency makes the call. And they can try to BS it but it's not like if Roman says "oh no we're not going to unionize" they won't just look at him and go "too bad big dog".

Youre missing the key issue - Florida is a Right to Work state and thats where theyre working for right now.

You cant force the WWE to become a union shop so youd need nearly universal buy in from the talent. Which Alexa is proof - theyre never gonna get that.

That may be true, but I think the thing that is more likely to happen is WWE being forced to properly identify their employees, so this independent contractor thing won't keep going on.

You have way way way too much faith in a legal system that Republicans have stuffed with anti-union, pro-corporate judges, including installing a judge at the highest court who said a man should have froze to death instead of violating company policy.

At best, Yang and SAG can work against more draconian policies like no third party affiliations. But all WWE will do is rework contracts to ensure their workers stay independent contractors.

This isn't a court case. This is the division of the Department of Labor, that will be run by democratic rule. They're going to either force them to treat them like independent contractors or they can keep going as they are and be forced to treat them like employees.

There's actually a really good article about how the new Supreme Court will "reign in" the authority of federal bureaucracies like the Department of Labor. It happens to focus on the EPA but it would apply to really any federal agency.

But it turns out he worked for DDP's company and only helped with AEW sometimes, he got kicked out of DDP's house for being really creepy with Jake's wife during his recovery, has been sending gross stuff and pictures of himself to people, and Cody had a right to be creeped out after tweets of him being super creepy emerged.

What the hell what a ride.
