He was the first completely unexpected character to be revealed. His trailer was perfect. It came out during E3 at a live event. Nothing in Smash will ever compare to that level of hype. Side point - I don't get why so many people here think Joker was a great reveal? He's not an iconic character and his series is barely connected to Nintendo at all. That got me way more hyped than anything Ultimate pulled off, since he was a main of mine back in Brawl-era.
