it's a good way to introduce the characters without having to do origin stories, since they all already did in other spider-man movies. pulling them from the multiverse is a great way to do that

There've been so many fake leaked trailers for Spider-Man over the last few years, all they really had to do is say "No, this is just another fake" and most people would have immediately ignored it.

nobody else seems bothered by it, nothing wrong with making a trailer a little more accessible as long as most people can still enjoy it just fine

I mean, all these characters have been introduced in movie form. Having to constantly re-do these origin stories is really odd to me. It's like someone claiming they have no clue who the Joker is or something. They might not be as popular as Batman's most infamous villain but I think most seeing this movie will know at least some of these villains. Shit, Vulture and Mysterio were in the last two previous movies.
