So I think it's about time I join a FC, i'm at the endgame grind rn and just farming rep until more content comes out. Not sure the best way to go about finding one. Guessing going on reddit or something is for the best?

Whatever you do don't join fcs that randomly send you invites and have like 500 members, they're just trying to pad their numbers. I'd recommend looking for a smaller and more tight knit fc if possible

My personal recommendation. Find an FC that fits the social group you want to hang out with. When it comes to end-game content like raids and such, you can use Linkshells. A failed static will bring with it drama that may damage a Free Company, but nobody cares if a raid LS dies.

Yeah good idea. I was thinking of looking for a savage raid focused one earlier, but you make a good point, plus they may want to go a bit more nolife than i'm comfortable with.

If you're looking for a long-standing FC that does some raiding stuff, I can send you an invite. The chocobo alliance is one of the highest ranked FCs on the server and strangely I'm the longest enlisted member. In operation since early access for ARR.

How have the queues been for you guys since Christmas? Seems like they're low all day since then.

Every day has been 4k+ for me

20-50 on average. Occasionally hits a few hundred during peak hours.

I'm seeing about 2.5k at the peak times, which is better than the 5-6k originally. The queue moves faster too, so more people logging out during that time.

I saw 2.5k last night. Can get through maybe 1k per hour. World visit works until afternoon though which is nice.

Woo, just started playing for today and on the first boss of alliance roulette my internet dropped for a second and now I'm at the end of a 2.5k queue.

My queue is never above 60 but I get on by 8 am pst in a mostly East coast/ partially Western Europe server

From one of my ventures my retainer found a minion called "Flag"

Sells for 3.7 million gil.

I care about collecting all the orchestrion rolls and that will definitely help me get some of the harder ones.

At the lv87 MSQ now. This Elpis stuff is draaaaggging. Really can't wait for this arc to end.

You're in for a rude awakening, most people consider the level 88 quests to be the worst part of the expansion. Hope you like Loporrits.

Just finished the MSQ myself. Great expansion. I'd say it doesn't hit its themes as well as Shadowbringers did, but this expansion had a LOT of ground to cover. So I can forgive it for meandering some. As for the future, I think it's worth remembering that this was the end of a saga. We'll need a new saga to unfold. The start of the story will likely be fairly tame for a while, and build up towards some new world ending disaster. We could always explore Reflections, Merecydia, or the New World. There's lots of ground to cover there, and the mechanics for Calamity still exist, the've just been solved for the time being. A new villain with new motives could always start the rejoining again in a bid to destroy our world.

Yeah, I'm thinking even if there are no more total shard rejoinings, we could very well end up rejoining the other fragments of our soul in the next phase. Presumably not forcibly but because they would be dying for some other reason.

Here's my Sage bars, and with it here comes a review.

Sage is very fun to play and very good. It's promising that currently every top 10 speed clear available has one of each healer appearing somewhere in the rankings. Some are clearly more popular than others, and that's likely where the meta will lie, but it shows that the classes are balanced enough that you can't really go wrong with your choices.

As I mentioned earlier in the thread, Sage's biggest "weakness" will be people who fail to understand Kardia. 170 potency heals attached to every one of your DPS abilities adds up. Kardia and by extension Soteria appears to be nearly 20% of a SGE's healing throughput. If you're the type of person who stops pushing DPS buttons and focuses on healing moves, this will hurt you.

In spite of that however, the class is elegantly designed to maximize the Kardia mechanic. I feel that Sage is easier to optimize than 5.X Scholar ever was. So long as you prioritize committing your GCDs to DPS then you will naturally gravitate towards using your oGCDs for healing. Once you get the feel for when and where to use these abilities you will be pumping DPS and Healing in tandem in a harmony that I find very fun to play. Pneuma really ties it all together. It has a somewhat long GCD, but it's a 600 Potency heal (+170 for Kardia, +50% if you use Zoe) on top of being a damage dealing tool.

I won't speak much on the subject of optimization right now, but it's still pretty clear that Scholar wins via rDPS. I believe it is tradition for Square to make some balance adjustments before Savage is released, so I'll hold off on any deeper analysis for now. Instead I'll do a quick headcount of how often each class appears in the top 10 speed clears of all currently available runs. I'm not going to bother trying to parse the data since I haven't done the fights myself yet, but do with this information as you will.

It just felt like for every interesting scene, there was another hour of nothing. Moreso than typical MMO fashion.

Pandaemonium raids are tough

So it'll take a month to get one of the weapons

TIL all your hotbar and game settings are stored in your windows user folder instead of the game folder. everything got yeeted when i reset the pc to fix a driver issue

on the plus side, it gave me the motivation to finally do up my hotbars properly and get my UI more usable than what i had before, i'm pretty happy with it

It's seven Unsung Blades and the stones historically have dropped on the third raid in a set.

Edit: I'm misremembering. In the Eden raids the tomestone did drop from the second raid, not the third.

Time to get into Asphodelos! My wife and I are both up to the item level requirement

Yeah, that's what I was thinking of. I only did the first set of Eden savage raids before COVID fucked my work life up, so my memory was fuzzy.

Made a nice dent in FATES today as I finished up Thavanir and got to 30 in the final area of the expansion.

Trying to get all the orchestrion rolls possible is a very interesting challenge for me. I'm just getting all the Gil I can to buy the Rank 3 Fate music from Shadowbringers

and i just power leveled my fishing from 60 to 90, and did the entire ARR-Shb job questline i've ignored until now...thank god for leves
