Rewatching this OP after not thinking about this show even once in 8 years or so is making me nostalgic for when I was OK watching crap or crap adjacent series as long as it was with other people, back when all the anime had to be downloaded to my laptop to HDMI into my TV.

Now with streaming there's too much easy access to "good" shows and it's harder to justify.

The suspicious maid anime finally started and I'm caught up on the ten from this season that I'm watching. Figured I'd talk about them all a bit, and I'd be interested in hearing what everyone else thinks of this season so far too! Watching all those shows but not best show of the season Isekai Ojisan/Uncle from Another World? What gives?

3. When Will Ayumu Make His Move
4. Yakuza Babysitter
5. Teppen

For non-sequels. I feel like Ayumu's gotten better as it goes - ep 3 was good stuff. Babysitter and Teppen both leave something to be desired, while Uncle and CotN are great. I mostly try to stick to episodic stuff for weekly series, so Suspicious Maid's all I'll add to the list I think.

Isn't the Uncle show Netflix?

I know it's not a delaycast, but not everyone has Netflix, especially nowadays. I don't anymore!

I have access to Netflix, at least for now, but that Uncle show is on a two week delay thanks to Netflix so only one episode is out right now. In any case, I tried to avoid most of the isekai shows this season. If Uncle stays strong, I can check it out once it's finished

Isekai Uncle is extremely different from other isekai. I wouldn't really worry about genre fatigue holding it back for you.

Baron Omatsuri if you can find it is supposed to be great. But I don't think there is any legal way to watch it.

All the Oda designed ones are at least fun. Strong World, Z, Gold, and Stampede. Stampede is basically just pure fanservice excuse to bring in all the favorites and have them be in a giant battle.

I watched the first 6 episodes of Classroom of the Elite (season 1, not the currently airing season). I can't tell if the writers want me to treat this like an intellectual masterpiece or like silly over-the-top entertainment, but it's a pretty fun show when treated as the latter. (I think that is the intent also...but sometimes I'm not sure.) Reminds me a bit of Danganronpa overall.

What's the current feel about the MHA anime? Not like quality, but as far as interest.

I feel like MHA in general has petered out a bit in terms of zeitgeist, both anime and manga.

Now that we're past season 5 I'm excited to get back to actual good content

I assume fan interest is still there when the 3rd movie came out last year the theater was still packed.

I started S5 a while ago and then got too distracted with video games to care about watching anime again since Im terrible at juggling hobbies

The shonen space has gotten too competitive and MHA couldn't keep up so it's having a so-so endgame and that's pretty much that. I think there will be some hype returning as the anime reaches the endgame though.

Covid delays Isekai Uncle.

I finally went back and watched the last few episodes of My Little Monster. This is one of a handful of anime that I blame for killing my interest in anime a few years ago. I got seven episodes into this "relationship" between a crazy person and a boring person where both of them kept changing their affections on a whim that I just couldn't take it anymore. I want to rank it low in my upcoming anime ranking project, though, which meant I needed to finish the season. So I went back and finished it. Ugh. In addition to all the other problems, I'd forgotten how outright abusive the main dude was. They made a running gag out of him "accidentally" hurting the main girl (holding her wrist hard enough to bruise, punching her and making her nose bleed, elbowing her hard in the face, throwing a full can of soda at the back of her head, trying to isolate and control her from anyone else... and this is funny somehow?!?). Troubled but cute my ass, that dude is psychotic.

Now I just need to finally finish Karakuri Circus and I'll at least be out of the dregs.

Halfway through Sacred Beasts, and yes, it is "very okay." Also heard a phrase on Discord "aggressively average." Gets to that tier, because it's all the story is just an excuse to get to a giant monster punch up. But hey, at least it tries to have a story...somewhere.

I don't remember much about My Little Monster but I definitely didn't like it. It was one of the anime that killed my interest in shoujo romance at least, and tbh it was probably one of the better ones I watched. (not saying much)

Agreed. In fact I would expect most dropped anime to be near the bottom.

I'm including dropped anime in my ranking project for completions sake, but my personal official ranking only includes anime where I've finished at least one season. It feels wrong to truly complain about something if I haven't seen all of it

I finished Science Fell in Love, So I Tried to Prove It, including the second season. I won't talk about it too much now (let's just say I'm starting my anime ranking project on Friday and we'll reach the write-up for this piece of shit by Monday at the latest) but oh my god the second season was a disaster. The first season had a small amount of charm, not enough to be good but at least it wasn't terrible. The second season was terrible, with special mention to the final episode for being one of the worst things ever I've seen in anything ever.

Damn. I dropped Science Fell In Love after one episode, but I haven't really seen anyone say anything bad about it.

Everyone hates the end of S2. The usual recommendation is to stop after ep6 of S2.

I'm never coming back to this show so would appreciate a spoil.

Very much so; it's a seriously weird mix of funny harem/romance stuff, until it says, "Yeah...ahahahahhah...you wish."

Started up Love After World Domination. This is one of those shows where I would probably normally hate it if I picked it apart piece by piece, but everything it puts together works somehow.

A doofy super sentai show? Meh
A romance comedy? Meh
A "Forbidden Romance?" Meh

But for some reason, the show just works well enough that I'm intrigued after episode 1. I gues those kinds of shows just kinda happen. I'll see where this goes.

Got through Love After World Domination (held up and was a quick watch). Turned off a few things, but then happened upon WorldEnd. The second half of the first episode was a bit goofy, but the overall tone of the first half was pretty serious and sad drama stuff that carried me. That or I was just a sucker for that cover of Scarborough Fair. Either way, I'll see where this goes.
