So uh...is Academy Ace Tournament really the best way to make money? (if you don't have a Turbo Controller)
That's about 500,000 a hour....
That would be enough money for Bottle Caps and Mints, but Vitamins are not worth it if it's really the best option :|

What do you need money for? I just join 6 star raids and sell the treasures from those, you end up with free caps and herbs over time anyways.

Man the challenge level in this game is insanely unbalanced
Why does a random trainer near the 1st gym have a level 20 fully evolved pokemon with 90 atk moves?

The ones that are extra strong usually have a black speech bubble

Doubt it, but maybe some NPC in a town says it

Gotta love that instead of showing you how many more attacks you need to do before you can terrastilize, you need to press R to try and Terastilize and that takes like 5 valuable seconds from your time just to do that

No but the first strong NPC that you meet says something like "I am strong!" so that kinda gives you a hint

Cinderace is back!

Managed to get into the first online raid I attempted to join and 3/4 of us were using Slowbro, lol

And then we almost lost because the one person who didn't bring a meta pokemon kept dying which pushed us into the bad parts of the fight too early. If you are bringing a support pls bring one that doesn't get one shot <_<

But damn if one shotting the cinderace doesn't feel good when it lands!

It's a shame you can't catch more than one, but it's such a free way to farm caps and herbs.

Just finished the Ace Academy tournament, which I think is basically the last of the "story" content?

Honestly, I really like these games overall. The frame rate took some very noticeable hits in a few places, and the Powerpoint NPCs/Pokemon in the distance can be weird to see, but otherwise I didn't have any crashes or anything, so my experience was good for the most part. I made sure not to look at many of the Pokemon ahead of time, so it was a joy to see a new one for the first time. The amount of actual story content also felt pretty satisfying. The open world aspect felt decent enough, though I'm not really a big fan of how it makes trainer battles basically a non-obstacle, but I'm also not sure how to fix that, since you can't really make it open world AND force battles like you could with the Route system.

All in all, pretty enjoyable. Looking forward to getting into raids and online battling more.

I've gotten some badly timed crashes although no the worst thanks to autosave (just gotta remember to turn it back on when not shiny hunting)

but overall this is easily the best Pokemon experience I've had in a while, being able to just set out and take care of multiple individual plot threads throughout the world is great, it's a fun world to travel with Koraidon/Miraidon, fun characters and stories, and holy crap building Pokemon is easier than ever and you can really guarantee that whatever shiny you hunt can be perfectly build, not to mention how addictive shiny hunting can be in the game (at least from my perspective with 71 Shiny Pokemon Battled)

Got my Cinderace this morning, using a cookie cutter Slowbro build with some nice help from a teammates Armorouge.

Catching pokemon in this game just feels more fun than other games for some reason. I've almost completed the pokedex. Already have 385 caught. Though Union Circle helped a LOT there. Most of the ones I'm missing are from Pokemon Scarlet. (Except the legendaries I have yet to catch). In fact, I had almost everything caught before the 5th badge.

Started a Surpriselocke last night. My team is actually pretty good from the random japanese people who traded them. (I'm not allowing overleveling, and must trade overleveled pokemon back. I get one new pokemon for each gym leader/star leader/titan, and I start with 2 up until the treasure hunt starts, then get 3. Also dupes clause and no starters.)

Current team is Dreepy, Tinkatink and.... Sunkern. The second fight with Nemona was pretty challenging. Hopefully I get something good after the first gym, but I'm guessing it'll be a Lechonk. Surprised it wasn't the first thing I got, actually. (I got a Level 45 Shelgon first, but had to trade it. Then got a level 74 pawmot... who trained Pawmot that high to surprise trade it lol?)

I didn't realize the Cinderace raids didn't last all day yesterday. Tried doing one between the Giants and Bengals games last night just to find out they were gone already. If anyone wouldn't mind hatching a Scorbunny that has the opportunity to, I have some pre-EV-trained Skeledirges or something I could offer.

So I did pretty much every thing imagineable
Even bought all clothing items and got a complete ItemDex
Have a copy of each Pokemon for a complete in-game living dex and every copy of a new Pokemon ready to transfer to HOME

Only thing that remains is to get a copy of each new Pokemon with it's HA and I feel like this will take a lot of time
But also kinda wondering if I should just farm 6 star raids for Ability Patch...maybe it will be faster than to hunt them individually
Or just...cheat...and use the bot that gives you 6IV Japanese Ditto with a Ability Patch :/

And once I am done with that...I guess Shiny Hunt? not sure. Never cared about shiny hunts but it sounds super easy in this game so who knows

But it still exists for a Shiny Quaxly with 6IV and a Ability Patch

I think I'll avoid bots anyhow.

Through trading I was able to acquire a legit 5 IV japanese ditto so I'll use that to breed something shiny.

Yeah I am not a fan of cheating either
But I make exceptions for some things like 6IV Ditto. And in this game case, Auction Exclusive items.
Seriously trying to get Love Ball, (another) Chipped Pot, PP Max, Gold Bottle Cap etc is just some fucking bullshit
You can spend half a year checking auctions and not get them
So either you cheat by messing with the clock or you "cheat" by trading with another player
Got my PP Max by doing the AAT, another Chipped Pot from my other playthrough, but Love Ball was from a (probably cloned) giveaway and Gold Bottle Cap from trading away my second Master Ball (from other playthrough)

After an extended break due to GoW: Ragnarok I am playing this again. I got my 3rd badge the other day. These gym challenges are still dumb though. The electric one was just insulting because I found the guy within 0-5s each time. Id rather they just go back to fighting trainers inside the gym building
