I feel like a mister negative deck would be great for Weirdworld as long as you didnt actually play Mister Negative.

watching bot vs bot games to level up agatha is either the worst or best thing

If your opponent draws and plays Mr Negative it sucks for you with Weird World because you start drawing these 8 cost cards you can't play.

I think Lopen meant if you as a Mister Negative deck user, are in a game with Weirdworld, and your opponent draws your MN and plays it, its a bad time for you

Only ever had it happen once but yeah. Basically the game kinda good for you (most Mr Negative cards are at least usable, but they are playing at a disadvantage) or terrible for you (if they draw and play Mr Negative on their deck) depending on if your opponent is draws and is smart enough to play Mr Negative or not.

Just had a silly game for 8 cubes. I played a Venom for 27 power on turn 5 and opponent played Galactus to kill everything.

On turn 6 he played Death and Chavez for 24 total power and I used Taskmaster to copy my dead Venom for 27 power lol.

Wait, so if you play Cloak, and then before the next turn starts Starlight Citadel moves the locations around, the Cloak effect also moves with that location???

Makes sense, because if you play Cloak and then it gets moved before the next turn, the effect stays at the original location.

it does say "this location" so I guess by "location" it means "Weirdworld" or "Lamentis-1" etc and not "the left/right/center"

Is there another or better add an annoying card to your opponents deck effect card like Black Widow or Korg? Ive been trying to use Black Widow but shes a bit lackluster.

I don't put a ton of stock into these because it's not based on much data yet so it's basically just an opinion list.

But the big takeaway seems to be that Bast is probably the best series 5 card. It seems like this is one of those cards where they justified the strength because it could also be a downside to lower the power of cards in your hand. But of course anyone running this card is only going to use it as a positive so the downside doesn't exist.

They really need to stop printing strong cards with a downside because these decks are small enough that you can build something without being impacted by the downside.

Also I feel like Mr Negative's design is going to get massively nerfed or changed. His design feels like it limits future cards they can create. Always having to decide if your new card is too busted with Mr Negative is not great for the future of the game.

I saw Bast in my shop and did think he would be too strong if you built around him

Ha. Negative Surfer tier 1. Funny that I immediately tried to make that work first thing after getting Silver Surfer. My game sense is clearly tops.

Also I haven't seen much talk about Zabu (next month's battle pass card) but I think this is going to be pretty bad too:

So you can play two 4 drops on turn 4 and three on turn 6.

4 drops are generally pretty good for the cost. They seem to be 8-10 power with a condition

Drax: 8
Jessica Jones: 8
Rescue: 9
Strong Guy: 10
Crossbones: 8
Warpath: 9

It seems like it'll be pretty hard to beat considering you can just put 20-30 power in a lane for 3 turns in a row.

Yeah there are a lot of conditions to get all of that power but most of those are not very difficult to achieve.

Also with Sera on turn 5 all of your 4 drops cost ONE ENERGY. So you could play 6 four drops on turn 6 with Sera.

Another silly combo is Zabu on 3

Wong + Rockslide on turn 4 to shuffle 4 rocks into opponent deck lol. It's not even that bad of a play considering it's still putting 9 power into a lane on turn 4!

That's a REALLY big difference imo. You NEED to have Zabu in your opening hand or draw him by turn 3. Otherwise uh oh stinky.

Otherwise you are just playing a deck with a bunch of 4 drops, which... playing 1 4 drop a turn ain't great!

id argue a zabu deck without drawing zabu is way better than a patriot deck without patriot.

Someone explain Negative Surfer to me. You use Mr. Negative and flip energy/power and then Surfer doesn't effect them because they're cost isn't three anymore and I'm obviously missing something.

Surfer doesn't care about cost modifications, so he still affects them, as well as people returned and replayed with Beast at one less cost, or people who had their cost adjusted to 4 by Iceman. I tested all this immediately upon getting him to use him and have been running a Negative Surfer deck ever since.

He also won't affect people who get changed to 3 by such effects.

Once a card is revealed it displays its normal cost again and is only affected by things that would affect it at its normal cost. Youve never seen Killmonger kill a 2 cost card when Elysium is present, for example

The Elysium example makes sense to me. Negative making them swap feels like it should change it but I'll accept that it doesn't.

No, but a Zabu deck is not nearly as good if you draw him on turns 5 and 6 and picking up Patriot on those turns is totally fine. Two extra turns / cards is a huge deal.

Yeah but the nice thing about that deck is you can snap early if you have Zabu and Sera in hand. So pretty much all of your winning games are going to be 2 cubes, even if they leave before turn 6, and you can always leave for 1 cube if you draw poorly. Then games where people think they can challenge your Zabu they get blown out for more cubes.

Also Zabu doesn't have any counters if you play him on turn 3. Sure they can Enchantress him but they wasted a turn doing that while you played two 4 drops and still got value from him.

The cube system in this game really invalidates the idea or drawing poorly for me. You could draw poorly 7 times in a row, win 1 game for 8 cubes and still have a net cube gain. This game is all about taking advantage of the matches where your deck does what it was designed to do.

Killmonger and about 5 different locations will counter that strat, but if it works, it works lol

Sorry for the Agatha Harkness triple post, but I'm convinced the AI is literally just random, and takes no considerations at all.

Just had a match where at the end of turn 5 I was winning 1 location by 10 and losing 2 others by ~3, and instead of playing herself on one of the losing locations (the only possible way to win), she played herself on the winning location.

It's confirmed to be 100% random. The only exception is that if Agatha can play herself then she will always play herself.

So if you wave on turn 3 then Agatha will always play herself on turn 4. You can also use Sif on turn 3 to discard Agatha and then get control back to Ghost Rider her on turn 4.

I have no idea how I've pulled it off multiple times.
