His tunneling on me and Scare was making me think he was scum day 1. Day 2 he was putting in a lot of work...still mostly to go after me and Scare. But then Scare flipped scum, and it makes 100% sense that he would think I'm scum since that would fit his boastful nature.

But hey, someone's got to be scum. And he was never that high up in the town tier list. I have already absolutely decided I believe the two of you over him.

I'm trying to think that if I was town with his actual role, how would i react to MI's claim? It would be a tough situation and might cause someone like Corrik to flail emotionally.

Luckily, I dont have to think too hard about that because his actual role as claimed with all the details he included, should not exist. I am at that point. So no going back besides Corrik dies today. But I am not against inviting a little drama because having a set lynch is boring!

How about him ignoring questions or his thought process ben?

If he's town he'd come around and answer those eventually. Cant do it while he's busy. I never believe him when he says "See you day 2."

Also I dont know what the data is on him voting himself when he's scum. But he didnt do it in the Fire emblem game. He did it in the last game he was town IIRC.

No in Fire Emblem Mafia he was pretty relaxed if I recall correctly.

Okay, sorry, was at a Christmas party last night, finally getting caught up.

MI and Lea claimed at the same second. Ergo they're 100% in a chat together, whether that be scum or mason. This is something we will have to store away for D4 if both of them are still alive.

So then Lea got her role next before the rest were rolled? Not sure if I buy that, but... entirely possible. There's no way it would work any other way because then MI would know four town players, and thus Lea would ALSO know four town players, which is too broken.

This also explains why the PMs were so staggered. Though... what was Plum's comment about "the other pair" there? That makes no sense. What does he know?

It's still entirely possible that this is a "Neighbor" thing, was it? Wasn't there some game recently where Ben was SBell's "neighbor" or something and this was someone he chose on D1? One was scum, one was town, but they could still chat like Masons? I'm trying to figure out the differences here. Forgive my lack of experience.

The Corrik/MI lists can 100% overlap because each of them was asked a question to determine which pool they got. Corrik was likely not an option for MI's Mason, but MI was an option for Corrik... which is, uhh.... weird, to say the least. I'm guessing Corrik had the other 17 players (aside from Suprak slot) randomly put into groups of 5-6 and MI's were alphabetically chunked. This means it could've included Corrik.

This is all strange, as MI noted. There's really no reason MI should've been able to pick someone who would've been able to pick someone. I like the theory that Corrik's the partner and one of Plum, MZero, SBell, and Sultan is the actual scum in that role. And that's probably not Sultan.

My start of day posts are me actually taking the time to breathe, that's really it. I am trying not to rush myself when I write those night phase posts. Many of my daytime posts are rougher spur-of-the-moment thoughts.

I never said that. I said he didn't do that. All the messages posted with the Suprak account have been sent through DMs on GameFAQs proper. I was just listing ways he could've gotten hold of me and didn't give it thought that people would accuse me of making a scumslip when I'm just bad town.

So, either Corrik or both Lea AND MI have to be scum.

Corrik keeps backpedaling and voted for himself and I think that's because he got caught in a lie. He's now trying to weasel his way out of it much akin to what Ben referenced in DOTA Mafia.

If Lea and MI are both scum, that's 2/4 of the remaining alive members. Them being scum means scum is throwing two of their members to the wind to get rid of Corrik, which means they think their remaining two are obfuscated well enough that they're safe to win with night kills alone. What kind of scum team would do something that ballsy? It's high risk but also high reward.

I really just don't like Corrik's claim. I don't trust SBell and Plum, either. MZero disappearing without saying why is not a good sign for him, perhaps he finally admitted to himself that everyone knows I'm town and gave up. Disappearing is a scum MZero move, yes?

So... argh I think I'm back to square one aside from not liking Corrik's claim. And this is despite Corrik calling me blatant town and MI thinking I could be lynched. Please don't do that, thanks.

Im kind of at a loss.

If Lea and MI are just vanilla masons, does Corrik counter as scum? If he fails his counter and flips scum, then Lea and MI both look good and then the scum team is in a far worse position than when they started. Throwing shade at the duo makes sense as a reason but not the only reason.

Im struggling to come up with a scenario where scum Corrik claims without some other benefit.

But whats the benefit? It seems like theres tons to lose and very little to gain.

I cant write off my corrik-chose-scum-and-then-both-he-and-MI-chose-Lea crackpot theory yet because it explains a benefit Corrik gets from all this and could potentially address why he would lie about MI being on his list. If Lea is scum who ends up confirmed as killer then its worth it.

The part of this that makes the least sense though is why Corrik countered and then backed off. Like hes tried to explain a lot of things and I get he thinks this weird neighbour setup exists but I dont understand how he thinks MI could plausibly be on his list as either neighbour or mason.

You can't draw this conclusion from that, they would have no idea Corrik would say anything against it when they claimed.

Anyway, I am more than ready to lynch Corrik myself, but absolutely no point in ending day early when there are people stating they have things to bring to the table. It won't even speed the game up, the only thing it does is denying possible information. Even if you can't see yourself changing your mind (and I do understand that), activity is good for figuring out things afterward.

On a bit of a tangential note, I will acknowledge this is probably getting a little too far into meta territory so take this with a grain of salt, but does anyone think its weird that Joe Biden is an allegedly town role this game when in eff 2020 mafia he was an OP mafia godfather?
