Anyways, I like Byleth much more than Corrin, from a story perspective at least. Corrin practically just meanders aimlessly as the grand chosen one while other people push and pull them along the plot. They're honestly a decent example of all the flaws with a customizable unit, and they weren't done any favors by the game's shit writing. Byleth is given a good reason for their stoicism, and the bonds you forge actually makes sense given the school setting. It's at least more interesting and wholesome than fate's face petting game. It's kind of cool how everyone treats you as this mysterious, creepy wall of murder until you slowly earn their trust and begin learning to open up yourself. Corrin just gets three different flavors of Incest. I do like Corrin's design the best of the three though. Robin was Allright, and Byleth I got used to, but Corrin works well for me. Unfortunately Engage has not shown me anything I'm interested in so far. Unless it reviews well I likely will be skipping it. --- Others don't get to dictate what's normal and what isn't. Engage has an "all or nothing" season pass style DLC. You literally can't pick and choose what you want. You have to get the full pass even if you don't even know what it will entail. And the Silver Card has always been an in-game reward. Fates were generally an improvement outside of the sheer amount of battle panties. Three Houses had design philosophies closer to the pre-Awakening games, factor in the excellent designs from Echos and it felt like the series was normalizing itself. So Engage's designs are a really stark contrast. They are operating under a completely different design philosophy more in-line with high-fantasy anime than anything the series had messed with before. The Kingdom of Brodia seems to be the exception here where most of the designs are more like classic Fire Emblem designs.
