Why would scum care if the claim was fake or not? They know who is town and who isnt.

There isnt one. Occulams Razor says he was chatting up the host on the mafia Discord and got caught.

Im not sure thats a gimme - I can think of quite a few sorts of town roles that could or would PM the host during the day.

I neither follow the metagaming nor agree with using metagaming on Sultan here.

That said, I tossed out a line on Sultan based on him asking for flavor when he has no need to, and if Ulti was shadow-sheeping me, then he could have just latched onto that instead of what he is doing.

All that to say, I don't think voting Ulti for this makes sense because I think it's more likely he'd sheep me more based on my argument if he's Scum.

He is lying about his flavor, though. "Boobs" is XBC2 flavor, not XBC3.

Anyway, sultan, i don't understand how you determine that scum is more likely to know that it's fake than town. Wouldn't scum generally be more likely to believe the claim than not? Since they don't come into games needing to be suspicious of everything.

No, I think it's a classic case of "Scum 1 defends Scum 2. Scum 2 doesn't want to be associated with Scum 1 and tries to create distance between them."

This may be predicated on me still thinking that it's weird for IGCD to back up Plum's non-xenoblade flavor in the first place, so if you think that's a non-factor then it may not hold as much water for you.

But you're absolutely right that scum would probably freak out more than town would at that gambit.

I think death reacted pretty calmly, so that's in his favor.

By lynching them once we have other information or reasons to. I'm not sure why this is being analyzed so much. I'm not trying to lead a lynch on them with this info. I was just leaving a note that the interaction could be seen as suspicious later on. It's a conditional tell, where the conditions have not been met yet. I get that there's not always a lot to comment on Day 1, but I'm not sure why I have to spell this out so hard.
