No no, you don't understand. All of this is just being made up by the news to push their sensationalist anti-Trump agenda, just like Jan 6th!

Did the grand jury even make the decision? I heard they had been sent home to take a break. They weren't suppose to convene again for a month.

I remember SKARD trying to argue that he wasn't a fan of Trump and wasn't a republican/conservative/extremist.
No, I am a fan of Trump but also admit that there are things to criticize him about. Particularly the people he surrounded himself with while in office.
My disdain for republicans is almost as much as my disdain for democrats.
Conservative? I don't know. Is that a synonym for liberal?
Extremist? I think I'm rather moderate.

Tho to be fair he's committed so many crimes there are more than one grand jury convened to review them at this point in different states. Prob too much for you to actually keep up with but not too much for you to keep quiet in your ignorance about.

I remember someone linked to a political compass test in a topic on this board maybe 2 years back. I don't know if it was reputable or not. My results were just about dead center of the X axis and 1/8 up from liberal on the Y axis. It seemed fairly accurate to me.

I legitimately do not. The word holds absolutely no meaning to me and I am perpetually confused about how it relates to politics. The opposite of liberty is authority. Given how it's used in conversation conservative seems to refer to defending liberties. Ironically when talking about liberals it sounds very authoritarian.

Thank you for admitting you don't know.
Most people don't understand liberalism or socialism when they are conservative cause they don't understand they're the extreme.
Despite how much people call the democrats socialist, they're actually quite moderate. Obama bailed out businesses...that's very conservative for someone called a socialist.

His lawyer's probably expecting to need a new job soon, since I can't imagine Trump will take a failure to defend him (no matter how obviously doomed that effort is) particularly well. With that in mind, he might as well try to avoid burning bridges.

Mhm.

If conservatives stayed in power, and they actually conserved instead of regressed, we would still be in the confederate times. Women wouldn't vote, women would have no body autonomy, kids would be working in coal mines, schools wouldn't exist, basic technology infrastructure wouldn't exist, slaves would still exist.

Every single thing that you take for granted is because of progressives. You could argue that they're mostly regressive now, which I would agree with because their idea of conservative is unchanged: they want it to be like it was in the 1800's again.

This is what confuses me. I keep hearing that republicans are conservative but I don't know what that's referring to. Also I keep hearing that democrats are liberal but they seem to be very much the opposite. These words mean nothing in the context they are used. Further the context conveys that these are conflicting positions but digging into their intended meaning I would expect people to hold both values.

As it is republicans utterly fail at doing anything to oppose democrats. Meanwhile democrats will harp on about people being oppressed while being the ones doing the oppressing.

In regard to which of them are regressive, allow to me to point out that the ones calling themselves "progressives" keep advocating for a return to racial segregation.

From what I've seen the discussion is surrounding the falsifying of business records to mask other crimes. But no indication what those other crimes are.

Maybe two adults had sex. Not a crime.
Maybe one adult was paid not to talk about it. Not a crime.

Before the indictment the reporting was that the lawyer took it upon himself to pay the porn star and he either wasn't reimbursed or included it among the other legal fees without telling Trump specifically what he was paying for. As such campaign money wasn't used for that purpose.

If that's the case then business records weren't falsified since to the best knowledge of the people keeping those records everything was spent exactly how the records say it was.

I didn't care who Bill Clinton got involved with. I don't care now that it's Trump. Without a better explanation of exactly what law was broken it sounds like they're making a big deal out of nothing just because Trump says mean things. And to the people that want him prosecuted saying mean things is worse than what they charged him with.

That first one is just the same 2 paragraphs 34 times with different dates and voucher numbers. It does not give any indication as to what information is false. How there was intent to defraud, intent to commit another crime, or how it aids and conceals the commission of a crime. Or what other crime.

the statement of facts
Is there something specific you would like to draw my attention to? Otherwise I could go sentence by sentence and pick apart how it fails to convey a better understanding of the issues I already outlined.

For example:
This payment was illegal, and Lawyer A has since pleaded guilty to making an illegal campaign contribution and served time in prison.

So it was illegal because it was considered a campaign contribution. Which further verifies it was the lawyers own money. The purpose it was used for wasn't illegal. It being viewed as a campaign contribution is what made it illegal.
