I was driving for the past 6 hours and tried to skim while filling up gas and on rest stops. I did wait till i was caught up to chime in, but it wasn't an intentional delay on you.

You and bct are the only ones who have asked for flavor thus far. I won't rehash my thing from yesterday, but it's worth noting. I suspect that the alignment split is vague, if you are both scum. Note that I'm not linking you two as a condition per an edumey if/then, just stating for posterity the interesting similarity.

That first quote bwas post 221, for the record. I read it and did a doubletake. That is why i am voting for you.
The second quote is not a reason that you are scum. It is a theory if you and bct both happen to be scum. But dumey had enough of that conversation and out of kindness to him i won't bother revisiting right now, especially because it's not the main point of interest anyway.

Its important to note reasons why scum may have been hands off from Reds hammerer role to compare with the reasons town would want to be hands off.

The flavor bit is just me expecting flavor to go with roles, as has been the norm for over a decade

I am the only one who wanted that and it's not logical that there would be any time gating element if he doesn't immediately die for not hammering. The hammer itself is a power up you don't need power ups on top of power ups.

As for Lopen, I found his desire to instantly kill someone towny. I'm still keeping that read because his progression feels nuanced and organic.

I'm not entirely sure I follow your exact logic but the post did jump out at me when he made it as odd.

There are angles I'm seeing. Like perhaps scum has a hammerer role of its own that powers up or perhaps he was hunting 3p (the latter is something I've been sitting on for a bit-- that's why I'm inherently sus of people who didn't like Red's claim early but did nothing about it)

The way I read people is by their progressions and from what I've seen from you, I don't see any organic progression. You sort of took the middle ground on Red/EDumey without taking a solid stance on either of them. And then here you are fearmongering people by using WIFOM and saying that you should be townread here. If you are so convinced that someone is reading you wrong, and shouldn't be, why not engage them on that matter? Why not ask why they feel the way that they do?

I will grant death that when we were scum together, he played a pretty safe game and avoided risks. He was thorough.

I didnt think EDumey had to be scum if Red was not or vice versa
Clearly I dont think Red is scum at all now anymore, but I will note that past thought as well.

He buys the role, but already knows the alignment aka, very subtle perspective slip that a player of his caliber should not make. And yeah its a victim-of-success kind of thing but I dont think that post I quoted has town EV in it

So what's the alternative. If Sultan was town he'd propose that red was making up hammerer gimmick entirely and was scum aligned rather than suggesting scum aligned hammer?

I'm not sure I'm with you there but I at least understand what you're getting at.
