one of the most memorable season finales to me.

later seasons feel less and less like season 1 as jack dishes superhero range but yeah, i loved this. had a physical reaction to that ending

its an incredible ending, despite how depressing it is

i started in season 2 so I knew how it was going to end, but it still got me a bit.

Back in Tears of the Kingdom, I found my way to Tarrey Town and met Hudson and family.

I also found a Shrine that introduced me to Homing Carts and whoa these things are capable of mass destruction

Got some time in with FF16 tonight. First few hours are definitely a little on rails, but the spectacle and production values are through the roof.

FFXVI has been delivered

Clocked in a few more hours of 16. Im not sure how I feel about it yet. No doubt its a really good game, but it almost doesnt even feel like an RPG. Which is fine, but it just feels a little weird given the name.

I played a little bit of FFXVI, up until the Biggs/Wedge stand-ins join Clive to hunt some Goblins.

Though that's not long, what's your impression?

The production values are exceptional so far. The battle system will take some getting used to, but it seems fun. I keep confusing dash with dodge!

I said in the FFXVI topic that I kept screwing that up and was told I could switch to type 2 controls to dodge on circle. I like this better.

Secret Invasion Episode 1 complete!

I guess Nick Fury is playing the part of Old Snake in this show.

F/GO ate into my game time for a while there (and will again in about two-and-a-half weeks when the final part of this story chapter is released) but back to TOTK. Made it to Tarrey Town (cut through to Akkala for Robbie's quest.) Son and done.

Okay, I finished the prologue in FFXVI and made it to the Hideaway. Man, this game has already set new franchise records for brutal violence. I wonder how Clive became Phoenix's Dominant if he was rejected the first time, but I'm sure we'll find out. I certainly didn't expect we'd reunite with childhood pal Jill quite this soon and quite that way. Glad we've got Torgal back, too, and the new Cid seems pretty cool so far.

Also you know what game FFXVI strangely reminds me of so far?

I've been waiting 17 years for another game that understands the value of style over substance in pivotal moments

We made it to the Water Temple in Tears of the Kingdom. Let's see how this goes!

And Water Temple beated!

Boss wasn't too difficult, but he was pretty annoying.

Water Temple was my first temple. I was thankful it didn't nearly OHKO me like all the other enemies in the temple seemed to.

I hated that boss so much. Temple itself was decent enough though.

Water Temple is one of the weaker ones, and isn't my favorite boss.

I actually did Rito recently as my third. I think I had like 15 hearts, newly upgraded armor and decent weapons. So it was mostly free except for the boss that was designed in a way that I wasn't allowed to use my good weapons on it. >_>

Haha, yeah, it's kinda a tutorial in some ways.

More Zelda: Finished my exploration of the Akkala Region and am now wrapping up some sky islands I missed in previous regions since I now have Tulin's ability, a better stamina wheel, and a willingness to eat a bunch of food so I can just paraglide forever. The low gravity areas in certain sky zones is really fun.

Also I'm not sure I'd go so far as to say the Travel Medallion (from Robbie's quest) is a game changer but man it's incredible to be able to just drop warp points whereever you want on the map

Think my next area to explore will be north of Lookout Landing. Where the Lost Woods should be. I actually swung by Hyrule Castle (the part in the sky) but saw it was considered a legit dungeon so I turned around after I made it to the shrine I had marked on the map a looooong time ago.

Also since I need more ways to kill time until the gachapolcalypse in the first half of July (lots of big stuff in FGO from like July 3-July 17) I did something I rarely do because I always forget it's there and skimmed Netflix to see what anime they had. Decided to continue on with Demon Slayer since Toonami only got the first season and I was left behind after that. Watched the Mugen Train Arc, which I assume is just the movie divided into seven anime-sized episodes. This is still a very pretty anime.

Found another Dragon's Tear in Zelda. This one talks about how you transform into an immortal dragon if you swallow a secret stone. So would that be what these dragons are that I've seen across Hyrule? If so, I wonder who they used to be.

So I went down into a Chasm and started following all the statues until they led me to an abandoned Zonai mine

then I went back to talk to Josha and I either missed something or there's more than one location I need to find, but either way it's lame

Which chasm did you go into? Also I think the quest is in two parts where you first need to take a photo of the first statue, show the picture and then follow them to the end.

It was a chasm near Zora's Domain.

And I definitely did the first part of showing them the picture because you need to do that to get the second quest to trigger.

I think that's the wrong chasm. The one I used was the one around the south side of Hyrule field. I think that's also the one that had to be used when taking the picture of the statue.

In other news, I made it to Lostwing in FFXVI. This has definitely been a fun experience so far. Loving the soundtrack.
