No. Microsoft will keep releasing COD on there though. At full price while it's on Game Pass on Xbox from 2025.

Everything else is fair game.

Yes.

Microsoft's acquisition of Activision has been described as the largest in tech history," Judge Corley wrote, summing up. "It deserves scrutiny. That scrutiny has paid off: Microsoft has committed in writing, in public, and in court to keep Call of Duty on PlayStation for 10 years on parity with Xbox. It made anagreement with Nintendo to bring Call of Duty to Switch. And it entered several agreements to for the first time bring Activision's content to several cloud gaming services.

Call of Doody on Switch sounds like a fucking disaster. But on the upside, the only official voice chat for Switch is a smartphone app that in my experience doesnt even work, so that way you wont hear the screeching children.

Id far, far prefer Bethesda games on PlayStation than CoD, although business-wise I get CoD is far more profitable. Heres hoping Elder Scrolls/Fallout/Starfield eventually end up on PlayStation years after they come out on Xbox.

Playing Bethesda games on anything besides PC is an act of lunacy though, to be fair.

Quest bugs out on you? Simple console command to fix it.
You get stuck in a wall or fall through the floor? Simple console command to fix it.
Dragon kills an NPC so you cant interact with them? Simple console command to resurrect them.
List goes on.

Plus, you get full mod support, and have the power to run about 200 at once if you want to, which fixes the game and makes it about a hundred times better.

Apples market cap is roughly 2.7 trillion.
Microsofts market cap is roughly 2.3 trillion.
Sony isnt on the list I found, and the lowest one on there was roughly 124 billion.

so MS is in 2nd place? iirc walmart's no. 1 in total revenue. But i guess that market cap. is much more important than total revenue

Does it prevent them from putting CoD on GamePass, though?

This, especially the "in court" part. MS would get sued out the ass for lying under oath if they even tried to pull away the exclusivity too early. If Sony didn't get the deal, it's entirely because they refused it, not because Microsoft did anything.

I would assume "on parity with Xbox" means that the recent CoD games won't go into Game Pass anywhere near their launch date to maintain that fairness and parity. Older CoD games (like pre-MW2019/Warzone era) are probably fair game to drop into Game Pass though.

Id love that if only so people would hopefully forget about that awful franchise by then, but financially it would be suicidal. The masses love their annual jingling keys.
