No, I think you can tell a lot about a situation when people bend themselves into pretzels to support a genocidal terrorist group which has a long track record of being fucking abhorrent. Blaming Israel for their citizens being brutally killed in an unprovoked terrorist attack has to be one of the most obviously fucked things you can do, particularly within hours and days of the initial strike, and throughout the continued horror.

But it wasn't Palestine that committed this atrocity either. It was Hamas. It's important to make the distinction that despite the Israeli government fucking around with the Palestinian people, that has no bearing on the Iran funded Hamas taking over the region and using the people they oppress as bait for Israel to attack. What you were implying is that 70 years of Israel's bullshit led to the atrocities that occurred today, putting the onus on the Palestinian people to "fight back" which is just wrong.

you don't need to support hamas killing civilians to realize that this situation is a product of israel corralling people into an open air prison and devoting most of their military's time to tormenting and killing them for decades. nor do you need to look particularly hard at the current makeup of israel's government to realize the situation was not going to change in any way beyond likely getting worse in the near future as it drifted further and further right.

you should condemn war crimes. you should also look at the situation deeper than that or you will fail to comprehend anything that is happening. this current atrocity is occurring on the back of countless other atrocities that incredibly powerful lobbies in our government have been pushing politicians to ignore for a very long time in favor of going "gee cant we just get along"

There definitely are comparisons. The biggest one is that Israel is an apartheid state, and is the center of one of the biggest human atrocities on the planet. I'm not morally comparing Hamas and AFC. However these groups are allowed to get power through the underlying conditions created in the first place. That's all I've been saying.
