On the subject of liking Pokemon that are fun to use, I thought Coalossal had a pretty fun moveset to use in-game with Flamethrower, Scald, Earth Power, and whatever Rock move I gave it (sadly it didn't learn Power Gem yet).

Gardevoir's rise to rule 34 success initially wasn't due to furries, but it getting popular may have then contributed to some furries doing their own artwork of Gardevoir.

Okay luster this might be surprising but furries are people too.

I still contend the reason gardevoir is drawn has little to do with people being furries. People draw shit of basically every human character and she falls more under that.

andylt (10) - The only one of the gen 8 starter bunch that I consider a truly good design. It's unique enough that it doesn't feel like an awkward middle evo, and I like its focused athlete-in-training attitude.

Inviso (13) - Water/Rock is overplayed for sure, but Drednaw is certainly one of the better instances of the typing, especially with Strong Jaw.

Bane_Of_Despair (86) - An improvement over its first form, but it's mostly just not an interesting design. Like sure, it's a Water/Rock turtle.
NFUN (93) - why is his design so terrible. It just feels bad to look at, like Druddigon. It's off somehow, compounding with its genuine shittiness
XIII_Rocks (96) - My least favourite Pokemon ever is Lumineon, and Drednaw evokes a similar feeling. Lumineon is literally "so generic and unremarkable that it makes me angry", and Drednaw is the same. There's NOTHING GOOD about Drednaw, nothing interesting, nothing exciting - even its G-Max form sucks. The only thing stopping Drednaw from being as bad as Lumineon is that Lumineon has terrible stats and appears in the late-game, where better Pokemon should be appearing. Drednaw at least doesn't hide how fucking useless it is. But to be clear, it is fucking useless. A bottom 10 Pokemon of all time.

Why do they keep giving Strong Jaw to mons with no STAB biting moves?

Despite ranking Raboot as low as I did, Andy's writeup is a good explanation of why I do like it. It avoids looking awkward and weird, which, while I don't intrinsically hate, I kind of have to consider it a detriment when I don't feel strongly about the lower half of my rankings. It is a shame that this guy uses the clothes on Pokemon trope, but it could be a hell of a lot worse.

I didn't think I'd place Drednaw so high, but I love its stance and snappy jaw. There's definitely some disappointments, kind of would have preferred a water/steel variant, and the fact that it doesn't have any STAB biting moves kind of takes away some of its potential. But whenever I look at this guy I kind of just forget my complaints. He's doofy.

Oh I thought I ranked Drednaw lower.

XIII_Rocks (20) - There's something about Runerigus that I dig. The method of evolution being so insanely specific, and also the black outlines make it look almost like a cel-shaded Pokemon, and I'm intrigued by that.

"People are using drednaw" was one way to explain there were no good swift swimmers in regulation A

When you see some of the Pokemon Game Freak is giving new evolutions to, it's really feels like they just throw darts at a poster. Runerigus is cool and all, but picking Yamask of all things to get a split evolution is just so odd. It reminds me of how weird it was that Audino was the only Gen V Pokemon to get a Mega Evolution.

Now I'm not saying it's a bad thing, it's just a weird thing. Choosing to give Applin a third evolution one generation later and not even changing its typing is maybe a bad thing, though.

Yeah I don't care if this guy has a "boring" type. Half of that boring is ghost which is my number 1 all time favourite type. And holy shit does this guy look cool. Original Cofagrigus is one of my all time favourite Pokemon and Runerigus did justice at giving it a counterpart in another region. I'd still die of happiness over a rock/ghost type though. But you know, I just love ghosts :)

I don't think Ground/Ghost is a boring type (Golurk woo), but I get the frustration from people who have been waiting for an unused type to come around. They do seem interested in making new type combos at least, it just takes them a while >_>

Same here Bitto, though man I am already a huge fan of the base form. The UFO design just really elevates what is already a good design in my book to something god-tier. I think I'm also just a fan of supervillains as Pokemon though >> If this was a Kalos ranking, Malamar would be my number 2!

Fucking finally.

At least it didn't make top half. I've rarely been more irritated by a Pokemon than by Drednaw.

Yeah Glastrier is pretty cool. I was a horse girl as a child, and sometimes that horse girl bias still rears its ugly head. It would take a lot for me to downright hate a horse Pokemon even though most don't rank super, super high.

andylt (9) - Here's another neat one that I expect to be underrated. The gloves and mask are just natural enough so it doesn't look like it's wearing accessories. And come on, it's a sly fox! A perfect Poke-fit.
Bane_Of_Despair (16) - The most fox ass fox they could make, and such a dapper gent! If there's one thing I'd say I would alter a bit it would be the fur sticking off the sides of its face with the face mask but it doesn't ruin it by any means. The tail is also still a bit much but it's better than its prior stage. Still love the way the fur is to make it look like its wearing little boots.
PrinceOfKoopas (16) - Very slick and appealing design.
Inviso (26) - The stupid moustache kills this one for me, because otherwise I think this design could be really cute. It's still better than most of the generation though.
