I think she expected me to keep it in the confines of night chats and spread word so she had people to vouch for her claim if she was ever scanned.

I think she felt I genuinely wasn't suspecting her at that point (and I wasn't)

I also think she may have been doing it to fish for MY role in a way, see how I react.

The way she reacted "hilarious if true" is the first thing that sent an alarm bell off for me (beyond claiming it to begin with). Then it was talking about her airplane flights. Then it was literally no one else theorizing a suspicion of Dumey when we all swapped notes.

It felt like I was being led on to misdirect the town and defend her if she afked or was scanned

If I'm engaging full tinfoil mode it could be a situation where Scum Lea has reason to believe that a passive date cop exists. But this was N1 before Death flipped passive date bodyguard, so she would suspect it if scum had a role that also passively affected their date or had something on their safelist that indicated something along those lines. And so if you have a reason to think passive date cop exists you might choose to plant the miller seed at night when the scan would actually be occurring.

Personally she still wouldn't be my first "lynch" because I don't find that to be a very likely scenario. But I've also been meaning to check prior games to see if she has a history of mentioning her disdain for day 1 miller claims. I meant to do it earlier today but work has been too busy to spend enough time in the logs.

I said backup day 1 multiple times.

If the Cop is killed, I get a 1 shot Cop scan of a room that says if both in the room or innocent or at least one is not.

With the Vanilla cop flip, and knowing that the cop had a 1 shot room scan as well. There is no scenario where I can imagine beyond incompetency that the cop wouldn't have claimed today. And they should have got shot. And let me get the second scan off for town.

However, there is no cop. Hence no godfather. And since I am already the misdirection role to scum vanilla cop by being a renamed vanilla, there is thus no Miller as well.

Either way, if I am wrong. You still know I am town. Take it as you will.

Obviously my role day 1 would have been to lay low until the cop died. However, it is very apparent a cop doesn't actually exist.

So ulti and Lea look naughty.

If those are the scan mechanics we don't need a miller or gf anyway

I mean, it would be a pretty trollsome foil to Vanilla Cop if a cop didn't actually exist, but that feels kinda... unethical? There's better flavors of French Vanilla than "back-up but the role they're backing up doesn't actually exist"

Plus, now that I think about it, room-wide Cop seems kinda busted. You clear two town or have better odds of nailing scum with a more limited selection to choose from. So having a backup, even as a 1-shot, seems kinda strong.

Just for the record, in the game Lea hosted, Literature Mafia? She gave scum a role that informed us there was no Miller in the game, so that we could use it as a fake claim, basically just to punish town for always believing instant Miller Claims because of her disdain for them. Suprak used the Miller claim and it worked perfectly as intended.

So yes, I can verify that Lea has gone on record several times about this particular topic.

If you scan a role with scum result in it you have to figure out whether it's one scum, which one it is, or two scum

GF would green check. Miller would red check and potentially let the scum skate as the Miller was the red check.

This hypothetical would also mean any room with Lea in it, if Lea is truthful, pings it (but requires a dead cop, therefore, doubt.)

So unless we are going with incompetent cop right now, there is no cop. They work perfectly fine in tandem with an actual cop.

Kirby date Red so Lea can't date him if JC breaks up with Lea.

JC break up with Lea and save Corrik. He's town and Lea is under suspicion. I don't know if Corrik's setup meta is accurate, because maybe Cop could still exist, but I think Lea is still a better lynch than the other options.

My initial thought was that, if this is scum Corrik, he's claiming just to seem like believable town.

At the same time, that's a bit of a wild thing to do with scum down to two. So this is probably town Corrik who could potentially be correct but is also making the fatal assumption that people would listen to him.

I think Corrik had absolutely no need to come out with this info if he were scum.
