Remember that Lopen argued tooth and nail that Peaf wouldn't do a FAFO play and leave the cover of a safe date, but now has convinced himself that Ulti and I are scum, which would mean Peaf made a FAFO play and left the cover of a safe date. He doesn't even believe his own arguments.

I can't ping chang for some reason but I'm wondering if you can post a date when posting one half of a mutual breakup and have that still be a valid offer if/when the other person accepts the breakup

So bear with me. A cop who can target across rooms all game is too strong with a game of 3 scum. The cop would have to be like a 1 shot room scan.

Which there is no way the cop wouldn't have claimed today with a spent power and the checks to give out and go to the grave with.

Thus, I am feeling there is not actually a cop, and by extension, very well likely not a godfather either. Which Ulti knew because there is no reason at all to assume there is no godfather in a game.

Someone with possibly too much knowledge acting like they theorized it.

Do you think a town cop would look more like the scum cop? e.g. that it scans a room and gets back a 'one person is guilty' scan?

or maybe "there is scum in the room", i doubt the scan would get positive confirmation of one/two

No. It would be a there is scum present or there is no scum imo. It would town clear two barring a godfather or confirm scum is at least 1 in the room.

Corrik I still just have issues with making ANY kind of assumptions about the setup here. Could be a normal cop. Could be a room cop that only scans their partner. Could be a jack with cop scan as only one of their options. Could be a room cop that scans both people in a room and only gets a positive or negative for both. Could be no cop. There's so many options!

"No way the cop wouldn't have claimed today" is just such a strong statement that we can probably think of a dozen scenarios why they wouldn't. Including just being stubborn, which is not a trait B8 lacks.

It's impossible to have a full time cop in this game. It's town number favored. 20% scum. No chance a full time cop exists.

yeah i think we can be pretty confident that there's some kind of scanner so until we know the nature of it i'd prefer not to charge forward too far into assumptions based off a hypothetical role. also means we will have more information on lea eventually

The bodyguard can only protect the cop by rooming with them, which is much less helpful if the cop can only scan their date. It's good gameplay,tbh

limited scum numbers does increase the power of a direct cop scan, i agree, but also increases the risk of a misfire, and godfather is a strong balancing factor

What if Chris was a cop and date scanned Death, which is why he didn't bother coming forward with info, and he's not that scared of being lynched.

Like Lopen, one of these plans involves sacrificing scum, and the other doesn't. But you're saying the plan that sacrifices scum in a game where scum is already low on numbers is the play that makes more sense.

The point is you need either Dumey or Kirby scun (or you or Lea but arguably that's stupid too) to be otherwise the action that makes more sense is to just afk

My premise has always been

If it's Peaf scum paired with town and town on the gallows there is no reason to not just leave

Lopen really just likes avoiding the fact that Peaf could have been saved by any of his scumbuddies and then ultimately didn't get saved by any of them. I'm surprised he's not pushing a Dumey/JC/Peaf scum team because that is literally the only scenario where scum had absolutely zero choice but to let someone on their team die, since those were the final three.

Like, what kind of well-thought-out scum gambit ends in a scummate dead in what was likely a highly avoidable scenario? The answer is... none of them. Ergo, whatever the hell Peaf was trying to pull off was not well thought out.

I agree! Now tell that to Lopen.

Because the obvious answer to me is that Peaf did his own bold play, didn't set a back-up plan, and then ate dirt for it.

And kirby refusing to pair with him makes him town.

If it's just Peaf and JC as scum it continues to be "why do anything"

He would have known peaf would never return and would be dead without him.

No, Lopen's argument is that I'm scum with either Dumey or Ulti.

I jokingly proposed Dumey/Peaf/JC as the scum team because that's the easiest conclusion Lopen could have made for why nobody saved Peaf from death.

Those three were also the final three at EoD D1.

Jc broke up with his partner also during the run of breakups right? I have no belief at all that all 3 scum tossed themselves back in.

And then if Kirby wasn't in the final 3 then he is town. Only way he would be scum is if he was in the final 3 and chose the stronger scum partner. He wasn't tho.
