The recent release of the games first post-launch season has done little to reignite interest, having provoked widespread backlash owing to a number of significant issues. Many would tell you that the writing has been on the wall for the game for a while now, and it seems that WB Games and Rocksteady Studios are beginning to make plans for the finish line as well. Thats as per prominent leaker Miller Ross, who suggests that internal plans have already been made for the games final season. In a recent Twitter thread, the leaker claimed that Suicide Squads fourth season, allegedly kicking off in January 2025, would reintroduce Batman, and that that story would continue in the fifth season, which will see a reassembled Justice League joining forces with ARGUS to end Brainiacs multiversal reign of terror. Interestingly, however, Ross added that based on what hes been told by his sources, season 5 will also likely be Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leagues final season. Season 1 is probably some of the worst DLC support I've seen for a live service game yet. Every decision they made for Season 1 doesn't even spark any new interest in the game, but it somehow actively made the very small fanbase for the game mostly pissed at the update. You're basically grinding missions that you've done already in the base game for 4-5 hours to unlock Joker with no story cutscenes. You want to unlock Joker quicker? Just cough up 10 bucks to skip the grind...to do more grinding on an end game content that barely exists. This was there one time for Rocksteady games to somehow win back positive support and they threw it in the garbage can. Somehow Marvel Avengers ended up being the better super hero live service game lol.
