Phew, finally got the 5 consecutive win. Hated how each time I was almost at an emblem, I lost. So I re-did the 2, 3, and 4 streaks.

Almost thought I was going to lose on #5 as I bricked with Pika ex with no bench. Only for my opponent to have the same.

Woo just got an Articuno EX from a wonder pick. I can finally make a water Starmie / Cuno / Misty deck

Built a frosmoth/bruxish/greninja deck. Works decently well.

They should add a card that adds energy to a pokemon...but only to your opponents pokemon.

Basically a roundabout risky blaine for Jynx/Alakazam(or for some Galaxy brain baiting your opponent into playing a certain way)

Just got rekt by a Pidgeot / Arbok combo. That one caught me off guard, they got me good. I have my own dark deck but I need to expand what it does cause damn I got destroyed.

Also I hate the coin flips. I swear whenever I need them they fail and when they are against me they always work. Stupid RNG!

Got my 5 wins today. Also, even though people complain about Mewtwo and Pikachu meta, I feel like a wide range of decks are viable.

Just got my first rainbow rare since launch, a BlastoiseEX. It came immediately after a pack where I pulled a 3rd BlastoiseEX dupe. Besides only have 1 each of Squirtle/Wortortle, I'm not using Blastoise anyways. But I guess it's better than nothing.

Blastoise/Starmie is fun. Not quite as efficient as Articuno but still solid.

Didn't expect it at all but managed to get 5 wins on that tourney. For all the fancy decks out there, a lot of them have trouble with a fast Blaine deck. Ninetales hitting for 90+ damage on round 2 - 3 really wrecks a lot of plans.

Yeah. Nintetails/Rapidash with Blaine support is probably one of the best budget decks out there.

Yeah, I remember when it surprised me during the last event. Didn't think that Ninetales (granted I hadn't seen one until then) could OHKO Pika ex.

I love my fire deck. Ninetails/Flareon/Rapidash is a nasty combo. Can easily be set up but losing one fire mana per usage of Flareon / Ninetails is where it gets dicey. Hard to set stuff up if you have to constantly replenish.

Melmetal/Pidgeot is a little clunky but pretty fun once you get it rolling.

Ive had three opponents in a row concede before Melmetal even throws an attack.

Is there a way to see what flair looks like at the end?

Like, Ive heard the Pokeball card has pokeball icons appear for its final flair, but I dont want to waste cards and stardust on the first flair just to see what the next one will look like.

Also, does flair apply to every copy of a card, or do you have to buy it twice for it to apply to both cards in your deck?

Does non paid gold cap at 26? I swear I've been at 26 forever. But I haven't seen anything saying it caps there.

I don't know if theres a way to see what flair you will get. I do know that the flair set varies from card to card, and you do need to buy two flairs to put then on both copies of your card

For the most part, the first flair is sparkles on the card, and once you buy that all the rest unlock for preview.

They get a basic that does huge extra damage to EX and is splashable in amy element as a colorless and a EX that oneshots two of the biggest EXs with their own attacks.

Also Blaine decks are getting a Ninetails alternative/buddy with that new magmar. -10 damage and HP vs ninetails but its a basic so less vulnerable to RNG.

It also discards 2 energy so without Moltres ramp it's pretty unplayable.

The electric that has potential to paralyze with one energy will be a great replacement for the lone urchin in Pika decks.

Oh wow thats soon.

Some cool stuff in there. That Aerodactyl seems pretty awesome as does that Vaporeon. Tauros looks splashable and excellent for EX spammers. Plus, some great looking full arts. My boy Marshadow looking good.

Also if that means were getting Mew emblems/coins/etc then I know what my aesthetic is going to be.

Probably be 3 booster choices, just like Genetic Apex.

Though it was gonna be a Misty set that they got unlucky on but I see the Dark energy there. Nonetheless it was a 3 turn game with a nice Moltres 3 flip. Finally got the first emblem & that's good enough.

My Articuno/Greninja deck is pretty consistent too, even without getting Misty hax on my side. I still really enjoy my Primeape/Sandslash deck too, can even beat out Psychic decks with some maneuvering - though Ive been seeing more Machamp getting play, wondering if itd be a better choice over Slash as a backup for if Primeape doesnt pan out.

Marshadow might be really awesome for my Primeape deck. Or just in general. OHKOs Pika EX on a fully powered up Revenge, and in general, 100 damage on the rebound is pretty solid.

I use Bisharps and 1 Kangaskhan. The Bisharps are nice because they do good damage for relatively low cost, are easy to bring out and can be switched in and out easily or just used as damage sponges to get out Melmetal if necessary. Theyre pretty versatile.

The Kangaskhan is a damage sponge that has low cost for attacks and can occasionally do good damage/end a battle at turn 2 if I get lucky. The only drawback is that he takes 3 energy to switch back, so the MO is usually for him to die once Melmetal has 3 energy unless I have 2 X Speeds. I have considered replacing him with sing Jigglypuff, but Jigglypuff has the risk of being unable to put/keep things asleep and the downside of being unable to do anything but delay.

Mawile I would say isnt worth it. 20 isnt killing anything, usually people keep their heavy hitters in the back line and even if they dont you need to rely on luck just to delay.

EX Wigglytuff seems nice (read: Is really annoying to fight), but I want to avoid EXs because I want leeway to sacrifice more Pokemon and its high attack cost would mean a slower charge up for Melmetal. The nice thing about Melmetal is that, once its out and charged, very few things can handle it, so I tried to base my deck around it as a centerpiece.

Thank you for the recommendations, by the way. Im trying to pull for EX Zapdos/a 2nd EX Pikachu now, but thatll probably end once the new set is released.
