Just tried this deck and I was lucky enough to go against a mewtwo player who went second.

Lol he conceded the moment I got scolipede out but I got really lucky with draws

I'm still thrashing people with this deck, it just fed me two M2s in a row and I gobbled them up.

Should I keep the Taurus or replace it with a Salandit?

I end the night 11-6, what a fun deck!

I started the new event with a Blaine deck, expecting Celebis everywhere. First up was a Scoliopede Koga deck. Blaine was just a bit faster. Next up was Celebi. Made short work of it. Will keep going with Blaine a bit more later on and see how it goes.

there's another event. just gotta win a few versus games per day to get the top badge.

pulled full art vaporeon again, missed on a full art exeggutor from the wonder pick. (2 in 5 chance to gain a new card).

Just beat a charizard with a weezing/scolipede combo... feels good man

I ran a Psychic Exeggutor deck trying to get back at all the Mewtwo/Celebis and in 5 or 6 matches I have not gotten Serperior up even once. Twice I was able to get Exeggutor to 4 energy on its own but by that time the match is already over.

The hell. I got really lucky with my Wonder Pick this morning and got the regular Mew EX (I already had the full art one), so now I'm 64/68:

I jumped on that one because I had a 2/5 chance of getting something good and it paid off. So just now I did a pack pull and was thinking, "Man, it'd be funny if I pulled Mew EX now."

No joke. And at first I thought I just pulled another regular Mew EX, since I didn't pay close attention to how the one I got from the Wonder Pick looked, but no, it's a third variant. So now I have all three versions, assuming there's not a fourth one. My luck is so weird in this game.

Was like, why the eff am I getting so many dupes in the new set? Then I realized I have 56 / 68 cards already >_>

Congrats. But nah, there's 4. You're either missing the other 2 gold star variant or the crown variant (I'm missing the crown variant)

Thanks, and yeah, I'm missing the crown card. Forgot all about it. The full art (or whatever it's called) is the first rare card I actually got when the packs dropped.

So I did ten battles for the hourglasses just now and actually got six wins... because two conceded, one timed out, and one just disappeared and kept letting the clock run down after I took out one of their Pikachu EXs (though I'd like to think I still would've won even if they didn't disappear). I didn't put much thought into my deck, since I just wanted ten battles for the hourglasses, and I used mostly newer cards for the heck of it - I had two Dhelmise, Superior, and two of whatever the mushroom Pokemon that puts the enemy to sleep is called. Felt kinda bad for one guy who had a fire deck and kept flubbing on both his coin flips to do damage and the coin flips to wake up.

For the first time in awhile I finally hit a nice wonder pick myself!

Hell yeah, my luck is on fire today. 65/68 now. Just missing Exeggutor, non-EX Mew, and Aerodactyl EX. What I really need at this point are probably another Snivy and Celebi EX, though.

What pack has Nidoking? Need one more for a Nidoqueen deck. Dunno what other to add, thinking a couple Arbok.

I was just facing off against a Celebi deck, my Weezing in the active full health, Scolipede ready. They got 123 Serperior and switched to the active with Celebi to swing, 3 heads and I concede. They rolled all 6 tails lmao, then I Gas Leak Leaf'd into my boy for the ohko. They then conceded.

Ive run into a surprising number of Pika EX players that dont realize my Marshadow is just going to whack them in one hit while they autopilot into KOing my Old Ambers/Mankys.

Can anyone recommend an elec deck if I only have one Pikachu EX?

I'm trying a promo Mankey/primeape/marshadow deck. I feel like I'll need one more 1 card basic here. Any suggestions?

farfetched is decent if want fast 1 energy attack with 40 damage though it's frail and would go down to a few attacks.

won 5 games in a row, each time i felt really badly because i had lucky flips on misty and frosmoth sleep or extreme brute force with articuno.

I like helioptile and it's evolution and pincurchin. If you can get the mana and go twice and pray to the gods, you can paralyze their active pokemon while you fill up your bench/get more mana for others

The most I've ever gotten with Misty is 3 and that was the only time out of like 5 I didn't hit tails on the first flip. Game hates me when it comes to coin flips lol

I feel like Im really struggling in this event compared to last time. Im hopping between different decks and getting some wins here and there, but I feel like Ive been screwed out of my Profs and evolutions way more frequently than I can remember, while my opponent easily gets their evos up on turn 2-3. Im serious, the number of times Ive had 6 cards left in my deck and theyre both my Oaks and my 4 evos has been ridiculous. And just when I decide to change decks, I feel like I get constantly matched up with counters based on weaknesses. Its honesty killing my enjoyment a lot.

Seriously, what the ****. 3 of my last 5 games using my Psychic deck put me against Dark types (the other two being Celebi grass decks), and when I was playing my fighting deck, I got two in a row against psychic decks.

Granted theyre still close games and sometimes I can win, but it just reeks of shady matchmaking.

Promo Mankey/Marshadow deck is low tier. Workable but just a gimmick. Not even that fun because it does not hit any crucial break points for its low hp even when it works and when it doesn't, it's just really frustrating.

Okay, Im ****ing done. Give me the best anti-Celebi deck youve got. Ive tried Blaine decks, Water decks, Psychic decks, Pidgeot decks, Dragon decks, Pika EX, and either I have monumentally bad luck, or they just seem to get Turn 3 Serperior up every time and get big swings before I can have something powerful enough to one-shot Celebi. Honestly, this is worse than I couldve ever imagined. And I dont want to just make my own Celebi deck on principle.

It just feels so constraining building decks in this meta because I cant feel comfortable running anything that cant one-shot Celebi consistently because of Erikas bull****.

Blaine's probably the best counter for Celebi with Ninetails/Rapidash.

But also as with any other TCG, the opponent perfect curves out and you just draw nothing. That's going to happen.

Honestly wish the meta decks didn't feel just busted at the thing they do. It makes me wonder what power creep is going to look like going forward

Anyone else find it weird that we say "thanks" after a match? Like after we beat someone we're like "thanks for the win sucker!" lol

Yeah, some days just arent going to be your day, haha.

I tried a modified Blaine with New Salazzle / Ninetails and its been going much better so far. Still not sure if Magmar is a good inclusion or if theres maybe a better choice, but it does work pretty well as a pivot that can do some bigger damage with Blaine.

Been running my own version of Blaine and it's been going well though I might just be getting lucky...

yes. i just live with it :(.

though i click thanks almost every time. it awards them a shop ticket so they can get the quota for the day.

edit: just lost because of a bad hand. no misty and then i become done in. against mewtwo deck.

edit 2: had a last second finish against the celebi deck, i managed to pull off sleep flips after i managed to knock out the bulbasaur and with him needing just 1 knockout with a whole lot of grass energy from serperior (7 energy) i managed to pull the tentacruel to get the last 60 damage with poison dot at the end.

I was 100% expecting to fail this pick. Makes up for all the 2/5 picks I failed. Losing out on double full art picks just hurts. This slightly made it up, again for the same reason as with the Garydos I picked up a few days ago.
