Well damn, Mew EX in my first pack...

Im still hoarding hourglasses until the full new set drops in January. Ill just slowly collect this one through daily packs and wonder picks. Its been forever since a wonder pick was a guarantee of a new card.

I wonder if it helps people who want to Wonder Pick if I stop here. Probably doesn't matter, right? I still have 150 hourglasses left and will likely use them all on this.

Is there power creep? Seems like in general these new cards are stronger than apex.

Celebi ex + Serperior is prolly gonna take over the meta.

The biggest problem is that Celebi is one shottable with a lot of decks. You pretty much have to also evolve Serperior asap. Heck, the old Moltres Arcanine is a faster deck and probably beats them 4 times out of 5 imo.

I think there are a lot to explore. Gyarados also looks strong. Drudigon is also not bad. It's a decent monster to sit on while you build a bench

Decent luck, I assume, though it was kinda depressing when I did a 10 pack pull and the only rare card I got was Vaporeon. I also did two wonder picks in an attempt to get Serperior and Celebi EX but got Volcarona and Salazzle, both of which were new to me, so it wasn't the worst outcome.

Nice. Saw this pop up in my Wonder Picks and jumped at it, as it's probably my most-wanted card from all of this. I saw a second one afterwards and spent the hourglasses to go for it, but didn't get it (though what's frustrating is that it was in the spot I was originally going to pick, but changed my mind on). Still thrilled to have already gotten one, either way.

I spend all my shop tickets to get the hourglasses for a second 10 pack pick and I got this! Woot woot!

I just had the weirdest thing happen; I was doing the advanced level solo mission against Brock and when I used Sabrina to force it to switch out Onix, it was stuck on "thinking" for so long that I was starting to think it was locked up. There really wasn't anything special about it, either - it was going to lose no matter which of its two benched Pokemon it chose to send out, so I don't know what could have tripped it up.

did some of the advanced battles... pulled one last pack for last night... gotten the dedenne and gyardos EX (non-full art) in one card pack.

Got 2 Dededdddeeeeenenene, a Marshadow & wonderpicked a Serperior.

Only opened 3 packs so far and got a normal Mew EX from the first one.

if anyone sees this on the wonder pick it's 4 hearts to try. (awfully nice).

Got some decent stuff in my first Island packs - rarest stuff was probably fullArt Leaf and Explorer supporters, but I also got full art Marshadow, which is the one I wanted most.

Also found Pidgeot EX, Gyara EX, Celebi EX and got two Tauros to splash into decks (testing it in my Weezing/Arbok for now).

Definitely want to dive into the card list and make some hot takes.

Heres one: Mew EX in theory is terrifying with the two new trainers (Explorer and Psychic Disc) simply because it can be a crazy good sponge for standard Mewtwo EX decks to stall and get built. Mewtwos biggest weakness IMO is that it can be outsped by other meta decks unless it hits on a perfect turn 3 Gardevoir. Mew can take hits and use Explorer to scoop up like Koga/Weezing does, but with far more dangerous backup.

In a perfect world, they would limit EX cards one per deck in an attempt to balance. That's not gonna happen 'cause money.

I think this card it going to make grass decks meta worth, it's strong af. I think I'll start playing a lot more Arcazard.

Correct. Every set will use their own pack points.

Got the new vaporeon on my first pack, woo.

Shit, after doing all the solo missions I have enough to crack open another 10 pack! Doing that tonight, then the saving begins again.

Anyway, those solo battles were tougher than the initial ones. The last fighting one was really pissing me off, getting double heads all the time.

My two first mythical island packs and I pull these

Theres definitely some single prizers that seem interesting.

The new Rapidash is great for Blaine decks, sure its two energy now to attack, but it at least has a decent chance of denting stuff outside of using Blaine now.

Dhelmise seems like a good filler for Serperior deck, can soak a hit or two while you build you bench, then can take advantage of Serperior ability to swing for 90 damage with only two grass energy late game.

Galvantula is literally electric Arbok, Im curious to try running it over Electrode in a Pika EX deck to see if I can pull some cheesy traps.

It's really not that great because of the two energy. It breaks the synergy with Ninetails which you don't want to stop using once it's up because it loses an energy per attack, and you want it up fast.

Interested in trying out Salandit in Arbok/Weezing to finish off poisoned mons.

I'm semi cooking a Vaporeon/Flareon/Druddigon deck but not sure if it'll work out well. Druddigon is just a good tank in general. The theory is that they're all bulky as hell and not EX, and Eevees can just pivot based on how your energy tank is feeling at fire/water split, but now I'm just realizing it's forsaking Vaporeon's big strength, which is energy transfer.

Youre probably right, but I feel like I tend to get stuck with Rapidash for too long when trying to hit on Ninetails and the 40 damage is pretty piddly. Maybe Ive just not had much luck with getting Ninetails early enough.

Yeah I was considering this too. The problem is that I pulled 2 full art Vaporeons, and now my plan is ruined because I need to use them

It is refreshing not seeing another EX deck. It pissed me off but it was refreshing.
Dugtrio, Hypno & Persian. Relied on coinflips to be annoying af but it got there.
