No he didn't...that said his generals did often disagree with him and just overrule him based on what they saw going on in the field.

Purging the ranks of the military for ideological reasons is generally an incredibly stupid idea, but this is beyond that. They're literally purging people for not subscribing to their alternate reality. The administration wants the strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities to have been effective, despite evidence showing they were not as effective as the administration had hoped, and anybody who doesn't just accede to the administration's counterfactual statements gets thrown out?

The thing is, the only people who want to stick around are the people who are so incompetent that they'll go along with anything you want them to, *OR* they're sticking around because they're corrupt fucks with self-serving interests in mind. I recall reading that Putin's cronyism in the military led to corruption on such a wide scale that many military units fighting in Ukraine had fake explosives. That's sad, and it's going to happen to us soon.

That's really the problem here. Oftentimes these types of regimes devolve into infighting, which is likely going to happen to the GOP after Trump

idk I watched his video to the fleet (that background music is loud af) and read his NAVADMIN, it feels very much like a lot of feel good messaging with a Navy tint to it but not much substance. Also the analogies used fell a little short (there's the foundry, the fleet and the fight and the fleet is forged in the foundry but the foundry is tempered in the fleet and built to fight or... something.)

The Commanding Officer said there were a lot of doubts and concerns about the proposal though.

Great Lakes is the only remaining Navy boot camp, and some of the base is also dedicated to training centers for specific jobs.
