It's not like the other ones that appear when you load up the game. You have to go to her banner and pull on the single. If you aren't familiar with Project Moon's lore, the first couple of Cantos are very difficult to parse. It doesn't help that most of what happens in those Cantos is setting up main antagonists and new terms; some of which haven't been fully explained even still. Once you've spent enough time in the setting it starts to make more sense though, and I've invested enough time into it I can answer any questions you might have. If it's about the gameplay well. It's pretty easy most of the time. Just hit winrate until that stops working, and then start considering team comp after that. Most of the story is easy enough that one or two meta units can carry you through the entire thing, even with just slapping the winrate button. --- She / Her Others don't get to dictate what's normal and what isn't. Something I can see myself playing for a long time, because it's anime Slay the Spire. Sorry for the wall of text but it's a very interesting game :D Gacha Pulls are 160 each. No discount for doing a 10 pull, but it will guarantee a 4 star. 70 pull hard pity. 1% rate for 5 star :( You get a shop currency that you can exchange for more pulls (no limit) or partners (1 of each per month). There's a partner banner too. The extra currency you get from that can be exchanged for promotion materials, exp materials, money, and some "Particles of Memory" thing that I have no clue what it does . Something that bugs me: They have a banner for Combatants and Partners, and one for just Partners, rather than just separating them completely. Combatants are the characters you play as, while Partners give stat boosts, and have an Ultimate. Battle As mentioned, anime Slay the Spire, but with some key differences. At the start of each turn you get 3 AP, and can play cards until you use it up. As you use cards, you build a meter that lets you use Ultimates. Different Combatants/Partners have different costs. Everyone's HP is lumped together. A big difference is the action counter or whatever they call it. Enemies will have a counter that shows how many of your actions you can take before they automatically make their move, so this hinders strategies that try to spam 0 cost cards. Luckily they still only get to act once per turn (although they may still do multiple things), so if their countdown hits 0 and they act, they can't do anything until the next turn begins. You can put 3 characters in a team, and there are a variety of classes and attributes. Classes are Striker, Vanguard, Ranger, Hunter, Psionic, and Controller. Attributes are Passion, Void, Instinct, Order, and Justice. In addition to HP, there's a tenacity gauge. Attacking with an attribute that the monster is weak to increases damage and tenacity damage. When their tenacity gets broken then you gain an extra AP, the Stress of the character that attacked slightly decreases, and the monster's action count increases by 1. Stress. The big thing of the game. Taking damage will increase Stress, and when you hit the limit, the character will have a mental breakdown. In that state, they can't use their Ultimate, and all their cards are replaced with Breakdown cards, which cost nothing and do nothing, although they still take actions and crowd your hand. You also lose that character's max HP from your total. Once you use 5 Breakdown cards, the character recovers and you get back the HP that was previously lost, and their Ultimate will be available for free. If you lose in one of the roguelike modes, (I think?) one of the characters will retain their breakdown state and will need counseling. If you don't treat them, then they'll have debuffs when they're used. You get 3 counseling attempts per day, which are just basic conversations with the character, and in the end you raise their affinity. You can also delete their memories by spending money if you don't want to do counseling. I never had to do that but the tutorial just said it's risky. One day I'll find out what they mean lol. You can't upgrade cards at campsites like in StS. Instead, you randomly see a lightbulb over your cards, which gives you a chance of activating an epiphany, which lets you choose from 3 different upgrades. Random stuff Characters start with a standard deck of 8 cards. It's usually 2 attack + 1 shield (or vice versa for vanguards), plus 5 character specific cards. But you can get different cards as you go through modes, and save those decks to use. Some cards are class specific, or you can copy cards in your deck (except for unique ones). There's a thing called Ark City which has some fluff stuff to do. Nothing really important. I do like though, that one of the places there is a cafe which gives you stamina. They let you choose if you want 80 stamina on the spot, or an item to get 60 stamina that you can use later. Also there's kitties in the cafe :3 Only resource stages take stamina. You can do up to 3 runs at once which will just put the fights one after another. You can also combine or dismantle resources which is a big help. My favorite character turned out to be a character that I got unfortunately just a couple hours before the test ended D: The vanguard Khalipe who looks suspiciously like Shishiro Botan. She has a really interesting playstyle. 5 of her 8 cards cost 2 or 3 AP, which might sound bad at first, but it's just her gimmick. Some of her cards also have the "celestial" ability, which activates them from your hand for free if you play a card that costs 2 or more. This allows her to do big damage while not using a lot of turns. I played that for a week or two, loved the art and music, which I can tell was mostly done independently, distinctly remember that the sound quality was horribly crunched as the video mentioned. Felt bad for LAM and the pianist who is also supposedly a pretty popular youtuber who contributed to the composition and playing. Except they actually probably got paid. Meanwhile had no idea DeNA lost that much money to it in their SIX years of production on that game. They basically dumped nearly the entire game out of greed cuz they thought they could be earning Umamusume money But man the story and the gameplay were so horrendous... The combat I remember basically had you selecting the same attack pattern over and over because there was no better thing you could be doing. The story, they basically sapped all of the anime MC's personality into a goo and shat it out. HeeathLivesOn 09/24/25 1:34:06 AM #114:	Wow, that sucks I hope you at least got some 5S gears you didn't have I got Levia's UR gear finally on the 50/50 fail then got Sonya's gear I have been having much better luck when I don't draw more than once a day (one 10-pull after all free draws). I find this rate results in a hit (could be a redundant copy but still) well over 50% of 10 pulls (probably 80%), compared to bulk pulling where I've had many different 600+ pull days result in dreadful hit rates. I used to use this strategy for months and it worked super well, then I got greedy and did lots of bulk pulls and started to dislike the game for how shitty the rates were. Back to the old strategy and it still works. I don't care if I need the costume to do well in Fiend Hunt, not taking any chances anymore on bulk pulling in this game again except for selective draw. Day 1 of an event also just seems cursed, I'll do a single 10 pull and just accept not getting 100% of event rewards due to not having all the event costumes if I don't hit right away. Edit: I haven't seen any rhyme or reason in draw rates in any other gacha I play so no 'gambler fallacy' in those, but if the BD banners aren't rigged (in your favor if you're patient) then I'd be shocked at this point tbh --- 'Just sitting around the house tonight w my dog. On immediate reaction, it's a very thinly veiled fetish game for somebody in that company. On the other hand, it's barely a Fire Emblem game lmao. It just has its characters and the Fates weapon triangle. It has grids, but it's not an SRPG It's like a 3 ppl auto-battler where you can use skills to affect the field, but one person is evil, either by random or deciding how to queue. Each match plays in 2 parts, one is a Sun stage, which is prep stage, where you fight as a 3 men team to beat mobs, but you haven't figured out who the evil one is yet. There's an intermission where you vote the sus person, and you gain extra life if you get it right. In the Moon stage, which is the final battle, you basically go against the other side with the evil side having minions. Not sure how "live" it is cuz I've seen some pretty odd behaviors If you're on the good side, you just try to figure out who's trying to screw you over by using like... pretty basic clues like who's being targeted and who's not. Buffs and debuffs carry over, so if you figured out who it is early, you can also just straight up debuff whoever you think it is lmao. If you're evil, you have to sometimes screw the other players in the Sun stage, but you have to do it in a way where it's not too obvious. Sometimes that just involves you hitting yourself with spells lol. I can't tell what gets concealed tbh but you can just lay down debuffs on other players at this point. Then in the Moon stage, you just have to kill the other 2 players, but if you have an AOE spell like the MC does, it's super easy It's funny cuz the opening animated cutscene spoils something about the MC. Reasonably she's disadvantaged by being in a more primitive society, but she, uhh let's say "portal" arc spoilers: learns to become a Japan netizen in a couple of days or so, without knowing Japanese beforehand. Cid refused to help her out of fear that she'd discover he's been a bit of a fraud. Either way it's probably hilariously one of the most impressive feats in the entire story, even though she basically uses this skill set to simp for Cid and get banned for toxicity, which is possibly the most impressive by far. But yeah I like those uhh overly capable girls. I stopped playing for almost over a year and already I've almost fully cleared out all the IDs and EGO. Mostly just Standard Fare and Season 4 stuff left. Anyways, had to dig into the coffers a bit but I got all the event EGO. So that's a load off my mind. Literally the only Limited event the game's likely to ever have. --- She / Her Others don't get to dictate what's normal and what isn't. But she refused to use it at all. Not to mention that she used her ranged attack (since she can attack from 1 or 2 squares away) against a mage, when it wouldve been so much better to use her melee attack. legendarylemur 09/27/25 7:07:29 PM #138:	I finally got around to finishing Ch 5.1 for HBR. I'm just gonna fucking go off and you guys are about to see a giant block of black. It was so good that I just have to gush about it even if nobody will read it. This chapter somehow fit in complete arcs for like 4 characters, 3 of whom have never really gotten a focused arc despite them appearing a ton. Ruka, Yuki, Ichigo, and Seika got hefty story, and it's amazing they managed to fit all of them in since most of the other chapters kinda focused like 2 characters at max. I know next one is gonna be about Karen, Tsukasa, and Bon-chan of all people. Ruka is a big surprise to me. They kinda call upon how little we actually know about how she actually came to be. It's weirder because she's literally the main character, and we're getting her first real personal arc in Ch 5.1. We find out her origin, which is that the real Ruka was dead for much longer than most other characters. But this one is a tearjerker, as we find out how caring the real Ruka's parents were, and how devastated they were when the real Ruka disappeared into the sea one day in a freak accident, thus drowning. They don't even really find her body. They let leak the fact that Ruka's mother dies a couple of months into Narby Ruka's fame as She Is Legend. That's right, the real Ruka didn't live long enough to be the famous Ruka that the world has known. Narby Ruka feels guilt having found this out, trying to change the past so that the real Ruka survives, but her effort is for naught. But of course, the tearjerker happens when she goes back into the past for one last time to apologize for deceiving Ruka's mother, only for her to admit she knew how impossible the situation was all this time. This ends up being an allegory for adoption. The mother loved Narby Ruka much like an adopted daughter, who helped her move past the death of her biological daughter. It's also assumed that the mother's death later on... was also just an accident while she was flying a kite to gift to the Narby Ruka. All of this revelation fucking happens while the orchestrated version of Hino Sasu Mukou E plays in the background, and I shed a tear. My theory, however, is that the ocean was particularly more dangerous with the gradual invasion of Cancer on the land. Otherwise it is insane that they would go anywhere near that ocean considering they kinda accepted what happened to the real Ruka was real. Yuki's backstory kinda happened out of nowhere. Karen notices that Yuki's "hacking" is a bit unconventional. Turns out she has the ability to transmit her consciousness into the digital world, which they also kinda lampoon talking about how magical her abilities are considering how she keeps denying supernatural things to exist, like the ability to communicate with ghosts or Megumi's Psychic power. However, I do have some complaints since Yuki has been the main "heroine" and we also only really got her full backstory in Ch 5.1. It happens over a couple of conversations over 3 days, and we learn a little bit about her She Is Legend fandom. There's also a small implication she finds out about them because Ruka calls her in the past, not realizing She Is Legend doesn't exist yet. However, the backstory has a pay off, which is that Ruka is suddenly eaten near the end of the chapter. She is presumed dead, and this completely devastates Yuki. It is essentially to the point where she want to be anti-alive, if that makes sense, even carrying a rope. However, this is where there's a very nice flow of storytelling, as earlier in the chapter, Yuki offers Seika some pretty valuable bits of advice. Despite both of them having pretty scientific and objection view of the world, Yuki is seemingly a lot more empathetic than Seika, teaching her to value the seemingly scientifically pointless bonds she's making with her squad. So out of everybody, it wasn't even 31-A who managed to pull Yuki out of her funk, it ends up being Seika, who essentially repays her lesson to Yuki. The arc concludes with Yuki finding some absolution to continue on, even though she's still crushed by the seeming death of Ruka, but of course they find out Ruka is actually alive, but barely, thus sparking the final battle of Ch 5.1 to rescue Ruka. Seika's backstory also kinda comes out of nowhere and happens before Yuki's. As mentioned, Seika basically doesn't feel that much towards her squadmates, looking at the arrangements as more obligatory or out of some scientific curiosity, as she treats the rest of her life. She's obsessed with the concept of death but more as a scientific curiosity, or so she claims. But in a shocking state of affairs, it is revealed that Seika literally volunteered for euthanization so that she can become a Human Narby. She's completely aware of it, but she doesn't really remember everything, only that death was painful. It is also later revealed in her last conversation with Yuki b4 the big battle that because she essentially committed sudoku, she felt as though she wasn't let off easy. She got a second chance as a Narby but lost quite literally every empathy that she actually used to have as a human. She used to be able to taste and enjoy food or celebrate birthdays with her friends. Funny enough, the only person in the entire Seraph Squadron she basically considered smart enough to be her friend was Yuki, whose friendship blossomed over the course of Ch 4.1~2. I guess the implication is that that her comforting of Yuki was proof of the small remnant of her human self existing in her. She contemplates leaving the squad since they've barely been operational since the death of Aoi in Ch 2, which sparks the whole 31-B leader choosing arc, where Seika almost dies and is rescued, but she reaffirms her actual distaste for her own death, having already lost so much from dying once. These two arcs combined are basically an anti-sudoku allegory. They have two scientifically minded girls essentially talk about their existence as a metaphor for reincarnation. Reincarnation and karma existed as a means to basically dissuade people from such actions since centuries ago. I do think Yuki's backstory was a bit haphazardly tossed out there and resolved a bit too quickly for such an important character, but I guess her continued presence in a lot of the main/side story is really the point of her character anyways, so maybe it's not so bad. Ichigo I dunno if I'll go over too much. She has pretty much been a shoo-in for the next leader of 31-B, having matured a lot more after the death of Aoi. It almost felt as though they might make Seika be the next leader instead, but Seika herself doesn't see herself to be empathetic enough to be a proper leader. Ichigo and Seika get a bit of a ship moment, though at this point I dunno who Ichigo is being paired up with more, Maria or Seika. The weird but funny Maria ship leaked onto the main story where they're shown to be talking about cooking for one another and also regularly playing catch ball in the background. Anyways as arcs go, 10/10. I think even the dungeons were good, though the last dungeon was a bit confusing lol. HBR hasn't really had a super complicated story, but 5.1 is where I think it gets very complex. I hadn't really touched on why much, but the implications in this chapter will probably have serious consequences going forward. Anyways, if other chapters had flaws, this chapter... I know next one is gonna be about Karen, Tsukasa, and Bon-chan of all people. Ruka is a big surprise to me. They kinda call upon how little we actually know about how she actually came to be. It's weirder because she's literally the main character, and we're getting her first real personal arc in Ch 5.1. We find out her origin, which is that the real Ruka was dead for much longer than most other characters. But this one is a tearjerker, as we find out how caring the real Ruka's parents were, and how devastated they were when the real Ruka disappeared into the sea one day in a freak accident, thus drowning. They don't even really find her body. They let leak the fact that Ruka's mother dies a couple of months into Narby Ruka's fame as She Is Legend. That's right, the real Ruka didn't live long enough to be the famous Ruka that the world has known. Narby Ruka feels guilt having found this out, trying to change the past so that the real Ruka survives, but her effort is for naught. But of course, the tearjerker happens when she goes back into the past for one last time to apologize for deceiving Ruka's mother, only for her to admit she knew how impossible the situation was all this time. This ends up being an allegory for adoption. The mother loved Narby Ruka much like an adopted daughter, who helped her move past the death of her biological daughter. It's also assumed that the mother's death later on... was also just an accident while she was flying a kite to gift to the Narby Ruka. All of this revelation fucking happens while the orchestrated version of Hino Sasu Mukou E plays in the background, and I shed a tear. My theory, however, is that the ocean was particularly more dangerous with the gradual invasion of Cancer on the land. Otherwise it is insane that they would go anywhere near that ocean considering they kinda accepted what happened to the real Ruka was real.Yuki's backstory kinda happened out of nowhere. Karen notices that Yuki's "hacking" is a bit unconventional. Turns out she has the ability to transmit her consciousness into the digital world, which they also kinda lampoon talking about how magical her abilities are considering how she keeps denying supernatural things to exist, like the ability to communicate with ghosts or Megumi's Psychic power. However, I do have some complaints since Yuki has been the main "heroine" and we also only really got her full backstory in Ch 5.1. It happens over a couple of conversations over 3 days, and we learn a little bit about her She Is Legend fandom. There's also a small implication she finds out about them because Ruka calls her in the past, not realizing She Is Legend doesn't exist yet. However, the backstory has a pay off, which is that Ruka is suddenly eaten near the end of the chapter. She is presumed dead, and this completely devastates Yuki. It is essentially to the point where she want to be anti-alive, if that makes sense, even carrying a rope. However, this is where there's a very nice flow of storytelling, as earlier in the chapter, Yuki offers Seika some pretty valuable bits of advice. Despite both of them having pretty scientific and objection view of the world, Yuki is seemingly a lot more empathetic than Seika, teaching her to value the seemingly scientifically pointless bonds she's making with her squad. So out of everybody, it wasn't even 31-A who managed to pull Yuki out of her funk, it ends up being Seika, who essentially repays her lesson to Yuki. The arc concludes with Yuki finding some absolution to continue on, even though she's still crushed by the seeming death of Ruka, but of course they find out Ruka is actually alive, but barely, thus sparking the final battle of Ch 5.1 to rescue Ruka. Seika's backstory also kinda comes out of nowhere and happens before Yuki's. As mentioned, Seika basically doesn't feel that much towards her squadmates, looking at the arrangements as more obligatory or out of some scientific curiosity, as she treats the rest of her life. She's obsessed with the concept of death but more as a scientific curiosity, or so she claims. But in a shocking state of affairs, it is revealed that Seika literally volunteered for euthanization so that she can become a Human Narby. She's completely aware of it, but she doesn't really remember everything, only that death was painful. It is also later revealed in her last conversation with Yuki b4 the big battle that because she essentially committed sudoku, she felt as though she wasn't let off easy. She got a second chance as a Narby but lost quite literally every empathy that she actually used to have as a human. She used to be able to taste and enjoy food or celebrate birthdays with her friends. Funny enough, the only person in the entire Seraph Squadron she basically considered smart enough to be her friend was Yuki, whose friendship blossomed over the course of Ch 4.1~2. I guess the implication is that that her comforting of Yuki was proof of the small remnant of her human self existing in her. She contemplates leaving the squad since they've barely been operational since the death of Aoi in Ch 2, which sparks the whole 31-B leader choosing arc, where Seika almost dies and is rescued, but she reaffirms her actual distaste for her own death, having already lost so much from dying once.These two arcs combined are basically an anti-sudoku allegory. They have two scientifically minded girls essentially talk about their existence as a metaphor for reincarnation. Reincarnation and karma existed as a means to basically dissuade people from such actions since centuries ago. I do think Yuki's backstory was a bit haphazardly tossed out there and resolved a bit too quickly for such an important character, but I guess her continued presence in a lot of the main/side story is really the point of her character anyways, so maybe it's not so bad.Ichigo I dunno if I'll go over too much. I mean yeah, the game has an egregious lack of stamina, but another huge issue is how few rewards you get from clearing resource stages. You basically need both single target DPS and AOE DPS, AND debuffers that's single target and AOE. I came THIS close to having this for Ice, which is by far my best pool of characters. Bungo can AOE debuff, Miko can single target debuff. Then... I realized I don't have a strong AOE Ice attacker, and it completely walled my ass. Inori solves all that problem.
