If that's the one I'm thinking of, I fucked up and thought, "Oh, let me open the gate so I can go sit at the bench and run back if it kills me."

I swear the enemy gauntlets in this game are more difficult than the bosses

Give me a flying enemy that moves away when I move towards it, I may as well be playing with my feet.

I just started act 2.

That was a great boss and i dont think the runback is as bad as people claim

Yeah, I honestly didn't mind it at all once I learned you can just jump past the first drill bug thing.

I killed that bug every time but even then I was back at the boss in like a minute or two tops. The runbacks in Dark Souls 1 and 2 were way worse.

I know I'm getting close to act 3, what are some missables now?

If you want to 100% the game and achievements then you need to do something specific before unlocking act3.

100% ing the achievements is impossible in a single playthrough anyway. There's no need to worry about doing it all right away.

Guys, I feel like I've unlocked easy mode with poison cogflys and sting shards.

Sting Shard is the deploy-able spike trap that floats around and if an enemy touches it spikes them for pretty major damage. Tacks are the one you throw on the ground. Anyways I've gotten the first Crest that I really like over the original but it's pogo is very awkward to use. Architect. Basically the same Pogo as Hunter, but it's insanely short unless you hold the button down, and then it's super long. But there's also a touch of delay to it. On the bright side however, it seems like all of this crest's attacks might hit multiple times? I really like this conceptually so I'm gonna keep using it, but I'm not entirely sure this is actually beneficial.

Thanks to tips from others I also have Vesticrest so my build options are significantly improved. Time to go learn the third song and then probably spend a ton of time cleaning up side quests now that I'm pretty sure I'm close to 100% power level.

I really hate the Claw Shot its got some serious input dropping going on

it costs silk, maybe that's why.

wait is silk soul mode not a thing? I noticed they replaced it with steel soul mode on steam page.

Its still called Steel Soul mode. You have to beat the game once in order to play it.

If you want to get all the endings on one file, avoid fully clearing out Bilewater until later. There's a ending locked behind a challenge that you can end early and lock yourself out of.
