I like how they tend to pursue knowledge instead of conquest even though they possess enough magic power to nuke cities and slay gods, but if you get them involved in a war by threatening their home or safety, then you're fucked. The fact that the entire race is un-aging and entirely made up of attractive females certainly helps too.
