I did this route early. Youre in for a ride.

After a couple of the choices in Killing Game route I'm assuming they're all "wrong" choices that just lead to premature endings, so I'm essentially done with that route. Made it all the way to the end.

Was indeed quite a ride, I can imagine that being your first route and getting curveballs and twists thrown at you at every turn. Quite an eventful route. It also legitimately made me tear up with a few of the arcs, like the Nozomi/Eva relationship and that moment Tsubasa comforted Takumi after being wrought with grief. Because of my preferences I'm so glad this route had Tsubasa as the love interest. ...Which made the choice to not follow the Sponsor's directions to find invaders horrifying. The way it was done gave me the chills.

Though, considering the big twist I learned in 2nd scenario...it's a shame that despite a "happy" ending of looking forward to their future on the satellite...that none of their family and memories are real. At least they have each other though.

As I've been playing I think I am confident to say that if you felt Mario Odyssey was a must-own title on Switch 1, DK Bananza absolutely is the same for Switch 2.

Yeah, I don't particularly get "right-wing/conservative" vibes from Suda, especially since he just outright included a "Fuck Racism" shirt in NMH3.

Anyway, I'm most likely gonna pass hard on this new game. I don't have a good feeling about it judging by how they're talking about it.

All the people doing condescending talk about handholding, do you just want 3D pixel hunting then? I get that yellow paint doesn't always look great, but if they don't do anything, there's nothing separating all the environment detail from the video game interactivity layer. More people should play Shadow of the Tomb Raider with the highlights turned off to see how they actually like it in practice.

They could find a different way that makes more sense in-game to highlight where to go or what is interactible. I think that's ultimately what people complain about with yellow paint. It's just, you stumble into an ancient ruin where no-pne has traveled for hundreds of years...but there's fresh yellow paint to show the player where to go.

I looked up the judge because I was just curious about political alignment. She's appointed by Obama, for what it's worth.

Fiber has been getting installed throughout the city but they're getting in trouble because they're causing a lot of damage when placing the wires. I really would like to have fiber installed in my area but not if it's gonna risk power and water lines getting damaged.

He had the compulsion to try for a 100% run where all terrain was destroyed, but learned that it gets reset when you change to an entirely different layer. That eased his compulsion a bit and probably won't do this anymore, lol.

Managed to get into what I assume is the Killing Game route. I'm not sure if this route will end before Day 100, but we defeated the sponsor before the first ten days of the invader hunt and it seemed...a little too easy. Probably won't get a hint on who the sponsor was either, though apparently they were infected by a G'ie Queen judging by their dying screech.

I outright quit my latest job because of a multitude of issues, lol. One of which was asking me to do manager duties (I expressed interest in wanting to be promoted) without actually paying me for it, despite telling me they would.

not a fan of the diet pills or injections (they do work for some, not for me).

Yeah, I did the calorie cutting with cheat meals every Sunday and it really worked for me (I think I lost 20 pounds over the course of a month). Mother did the same thing but didn't get the same results, but I think she just needs to combine it with exercise and being more active.

unless she's got some underlying health concerns the likely reason the doctor isn't sure if it'll work well for her is because like i said, its not going to fix things if the patient doesn't actually want to change their habits.

i am not sure of the process for ozempic in specific, but i do know that if you want gastric banding or bypass you often have to go through weight loss counseling. the whole point is to put the person on a path that will help them keep the weight off after the surgery. maybe look into something like that for your mom.

Ah yeah, having to change her habits is gonna be hard. She's just not very healthy. Sits around most of the day, whenever she walks for a few minutes or tries to exercise she gets really out of breath. She is able to cut her calorie consumption down to just below recommended intake levels though, she just needs reminders to stick with it.

And yeah...figured the kangen water was a scam. It seems to be no better than just getting a regular water filter for your home.

i hate to suggest drugs as a solution for weight loss, because they really aren't in the long term without a change in diet and activity, but ozempic actually works and is backed up with legitimate research and testing that you can look up.

That is something that her primary care doctor suggested but is not sure if she's the right candidate for it. Could maybe tell her to look into it more though.

There's also this "hydrobar" shop in town that sells this "kangen water" that is supposed to help with hydration. Even if that's bullshit it's at least a physical thing to try out instead of taking a gamble on something vague like Energized Health.

It's probably not but I wanna know what you guys think anyway. Mother's been pushing me to look into this because she's having trouble losing weight, but something about this just doesn't seem right to me.

Somehow transforming your cells to take in water more and that somehow allows you to gain muscle, lose fat, and get healthier? And I'm assuming this is more than just drinking more water, but it doesn't say what it is on the website and just says to sign up for a series of calls. Also, nobody who is claiming to be on it never goes into detail on what they're doing to lose weight and get healthier, because you'd be bound to find someone on some corner of the internet to actually leak the details even if they might be under an NDA (which would be stupid for this kind of thing).

Yep, I actually really looked forward to them every time. Even the Batmobile races, because I enjoyed the Batmobile a lot more than most other people did.

I'm personally waiting for Metroid Prime 4 to see what my GotY might be. I'm a huge Metroid fan and I hope the wait for Prime 4 will be worth it.

Yeah, that was ridiculous, lol. I get they wanted to keep it a secret (even though it's incredibly obvious) but they could've just had a non-answer like "we cannot answer that."

There's some parts of the level that are completely indestructible, but with enough patience you probably can leave just the indestructible floors and walls. Would probably take an entire day to do one level that way though, and it all gets rebuilt if you leave it.

I did not know this at all.

I felt like I was almost alone in thinking that the story of City is just...meh. It's still a really great game and could easily be the best one, but I didn't like the story all that much. The thing that made me realize that was that I completely forgot that the story started with needing to stop Hugo Strange until like the last hour when the game decides "alright now we can stop him." It just gets derailed with the whole "Batman is infected with Joker's poisoned blood and has to find a cure" angle that takes him on a wild goose chase through the rest of the game.

By comparison I thought the stories of Asylum, Knight, and especially Origins were better and more solidly focused.

Kodaka says it's doing well enough that they're no longer in danger of shutting down due to bankruptcy, so that's good. He's even thinking about DLC and would like to support it for almost a decade if possible (probably not, but you know).

I'm in one of the Slasher routes and it turned into surviving a zombie outbreak in the school. Crazy how wildly different this one is in the same storyline.

That Midnight Gradient looks awesome, I can't wait to see what other gradient colors there are. As for me, I've been switching it up but my current color is that light blue color that I got in the Freezer Layer.

I always say to find more than one reason to buy a brand new console. For me it was enhanced Switch 1 game performance, Gamecube NSO, and this game + Mario Kart World that I really wanted and that was enough for me, but it might be different for you.

I'm at the junction that splits between a forest layer and a snowy layer. I finished the forest layer (what's the recent obsession with the "poisoned forest" aesthetic from Nintendo?) and am now doing the snowy layer. Man is the place making me hungry. It's entirely themed around ice cream and all sorts of related goodies. The "dirt" is hunks of chocolate sprinkles, the pathways are marked by chocolate bars, the houses look like ice cream scoops, and at the top of a mountain it's covered in sherbet.

Honestly not sure why Nintendo's averse to sound settings for their games these days. Sometimes what they think might be the perfect audio balance might not be the same for other players.

Case in point, for me the game's volume is just too low compared to other games I play, and the sound effects always overpower the music.

Man, it just keeps happening, doesn't it?

Unlike my first playthrough of Mario Odyssey, something about this game is keeping my interest enough to where I absolutely want to get all the gems and fossils before I move on to a new layer.

Beaver Bother is infamous but I don't remember having too much trouble with it. I think it's because I lucked out on the way to guarantee that the beavers fall into the hole. Because yeah, normally they have a tendency to veer away from it or refuse to fall in.

I still laugh thinking back when the producers said the movie would be out within a year after the previous one.

I don't think anybody actually believed that. Movies, especially with animation like that, take a lot of time.
