Meh. That cover pic doesn't fill me with hype by any stretch of the imagination, but I don't hate it either. I can get behind the rationale of them not trying to recreate Robin Williams' Genie, that's a recipe for failure no matter how you approach it. Jasmine losing her midriff and Al losing his shirtlessness was an accepted inevitability at this point.

Pretty-boy Jafar is the only thing that genuinely bothers me. Do we seriously not have any Christopher Lloyds or Vincent Schiavellis in this acting generation?

I had to come to the realization a few years ago that the series has simply passed me by. Catching up on all the non-numbered games would be a fairly daunting task even if I was super-enthused to play them, which I'm not; the more I hear about KH's story outside 1 and 2, the less and less I become interested in the franchise (needless to say, sitting through a plot synopsis isn't going to rekindle my interest either). 2 was already starting to go off the rails in a bad way, but some genuinely fun / groundbreaking set pieces helped keep the game enjoyable. Can KH3 deliver moments that will wow my 35-year-old self the way the 1,000 Heartless battle wowed my 22-year-old self? Can I put up with whatever the story has become long enough to experience them? I honestly and quite mournfully doubt it.

Except their hands are tied now since the law changed to make them accountable for any sex trafficking that takes place on their site. Anything involving sex is a minefield now.

I can't speak for other sites making this decision in the future, but it's been shown that Tumblr's unwitting suicide has been in the works for half a year or more (pre-dating the sex trafficing crackdown), and was purely a financial decision to try and attract more / different advertisers.

When I was young I thought it was easily ROTK. Then later after rewatching the extended editions I changed my mind to Two Towers being my favorite. Now I'm not so sure. It's difficult to rank them.

I guess if I really had to order them, I'd say ROTK > Fellowship > Two Towers.

If the extended cuts are in play, then RotK has one of the best extended editions I've ever seen. A conclusion to Saruman's arc that was left dangling in the theatrical, Mouth of Sauron, greatly improved editing of the scene cuts between Merry / Gandalf and the Ride of the Rohirrim, a setup for Faramir and Eowyn's romance (whereas to the movie-only audience they were randomly shipped during the ending), and a couple others that slip my mind.

Even if some additions were still superfluous and others made unwelcome changes from the source (like Gandalf facing the Witch-King), it was overall a very positive series of additions and changes imo.

If you go to the artistic nudity category now, you still see explicit nudity as I think of it. A guy I see on there has a collection of 800 images of buttholes.

Don't even get me started on the vomit-inducing explicit furry art.

In my experience with DA it's the softcore vs hardcore line; full nudity and visible sex is allowed, but the latter requires convenient censoring; no visible penetration or fluids. Open female crotch shots seem to be oddly okay there, so long as there's no imminent penetration of any kind. Dunno where the line is on male genitalia, since it's neither something I do in my own art nor something I go looking for while I'm there. Like with any ToU, what does and does not constitute 'pornography' is an impossible gray area that can be interpreted and re-interpreted by the mod staff at any time, but those are the general guidelines as I see them.

It also seems more likely that you'll get on DA's radar if you're depicting copyrighted characters in sexualized manner; things that might fly with OCs may not fly with Disney or Nintendo princesses. The more popular the character, the more likely you'll catch a mod's eye. You will definitely get attention if you sexualize characters that are underage in the source material, even if you obviously age them up (Misty or Sailor Moon, for example).

Bottom line: if your erotica can get by without a big ol' drippy schlong visibly plowing into the orifice of your choosing, DA's still a pretty good place to go.

Haven't played Colosseum.

it's not as good as XD - no wild pokes, not nearly as many pokes in general, no purify chamber, etc - but there's still cool stuff. Team Snagem plays a much bigger role and is working with cipher. the cipher admins have the dogs instead of the leader having the birds. The Under (the town under Pyrite Town) is fun. if memory serves, there are also no trainers that have more than 1 shadow

I would have liked Colloseum more if I'd played it first, but after playing XD first on a whim (I think I found it at Blockbuster for cheap, at the time it was the only decent way to get Lugia and the Johto starters), Colloseum was a slog to get through. Having a cute partner and a much more impressive means of transportation were certainly pluses, though.

I think I was about 6 or 7, I caught a glimpse of a Super Shredder action figure in the trunk of the car after shopping; later when that gift was addressed from Santa, that was the tell. To their credit, my parents did a good job keeping me believing for that long.

What really bugged me later was watching the Santa Clause and getting this notion that some people stopped believing in Santa simply because they didn't get the exact gift they asked for. To me that was just a super spoiled-rotten mentality. Is that really a thing, or just something the movie fabricated?

It surprises me how much people disliked Two Towers. Battle Of Helm's Deep is some of my favorite sequences in film. The sense of dread and hopelessness of war is just awesome.

The you have the Last March of the Ents and that sequence always makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up.

'Dislike' is painfully inaccurate; all three flicks are god-tier filmmaking.

Honestly, anyone thinking that a recap vid / plot summary is going to hype up non-hardcore fans for KH3 or even get them re-invested in the plot is kidding themselves.

The mere fact that a recap vid will come pre-packaged with 3 indicates that, at least on some level, Nomura and co. know that they dug themselves into a hole by letting the main plot go so far off the rails in a bunch of side games.
